I just received one of these in my email...and I've never seen one before.

It's for an animal priced up to $12.

 

First, it's wonderful! BUT, my question is, what did I do to get this? I mean, hey, I spend lots of $ there throughout the year so maybe that's it.

 

Anyone else ever get one of these?

We got one of those this year too, and they told us at the store it was because my daughter's birthday was the same day as the mascot---the 13th. Don't know if it's true or not, but oh well--free bear! LOL The twins only got $5 off of an animal.

We've never gotten one, though, and have been a member for over a year (and we've all had birthdays that are registered).

But yes, we do have someone with a birthday this month (on the 12th).

 

Now I have to find a way to make the 45 minute drive and be sneaky. :)

Hello. You can either get a free animal up to $12 or take $12 off any other animal. They usually give those out to people that have a bday on either Bearamy or Paulettes Bday or other special Build A Bear days plus they are random. I used to work there for 3 yrs. They are nice coupons to get! One lady by mistake was sent 3 of them she came in and used 1 and gave us the other 2 to give out to little kids. It was fun to hand them out to kids that had never made a bear before. Have fun with your coupon.

Ooooh...I like the $12 off another animal, too! I'm so unsure which one to make for DD5. She's obsessed with BAB stuff and has probably 5-6 animals. She's picky about which ones she wants. I'll have to pretend I'm a 5-y.o. little girl! :)

I have never received one but was fortunate enough to receive one from someone on Gottadeal deal once as a RAOK. They charged nothing for the dog (son wanted dog instead of bear) and if you don't want to buy any accessories you don"t have to, it's still completely free. Sometimes I take my son there to get the "experience" and the animal but get a lot of the clothes and accessories at the dollar store. He doesn't care and I sure don't mind saving money.

My mom just brought my daughter to Build a bear sunday. She picked out two animals and two outfits.... When we got home and opened the boxes, cashier put in more coupons for us! Expiration isn't until late 2009... Plus because of what my mom spent, we qualified for $10 giftcards for 1/ 2 price. ... So my mom got $20 worth of GCs for $10 (to save for her birthday).

I wish I could use these but they have coupons for other things saved up.
