boblabontefan
Has anyone had any luck getting a better discount when buying two desktop packages? I am looking for a good desktop and a friend of mine is looking for the same thing. Will Best Buy, Circuit City or any other retailer give a discount when buying multiples? freesia39
The margin on computers is so low, it won't be easy in store.
boblabontefan
Would it be easier on-line or direct from Dell or HP?
freesia39
Truthfully, two isn't much of a bulk order. You're better off trying to find the best deal you can on one system, and just order two of them. Now if you needed to buy 10, that's another story. You might have been able to get a rep to help you out. With Best Buy and Circuit City no longer on commission, you'll find them pushing the warranties harder than the units. They might be able to knock off a bit (i.e. 20 bucks), but nothing significant. Discounts are a PAIN to code in at those stores, since you must get approvals. Buying a top of the line system with all the accessories? Greater leeway. Middle of the road system or basic systems? Not so much.
