There was a good one at Walmart, but there gone online and not sold in stores

I got one from ebay about a month or two back.

I took advantage of live.com cashback program.

Mine was a refurb, and didnt have the updated software loaded on it, but

for $130 I didnt think it was that bad of a deal. (works fine btw)

Target has a 2nd gen for $229 (regualr retail) and then they throw in a $25 target gift card at purchase - you could use that GC for accessories?

Toys r us has a similar deal on the i pod touches. Buy at MSRP and get three $10 dollar iTunes gift cards. So it's like a 30 dollar discount (except yo are paying tax on the full amount. You will use the itunes cards and they are great to give to kids (they don't have credit cards) or I just hand them out to the Garbage men, post men, teachers, etc. Everybody knows somebody with an ipod (usually a kid.)

 

BTW I've noticed the garbage guys are often wearing ipods, probably to cancel the noise and wake up!

 

Check their website I think it's a two day thing ends today (Monday.) I'm hoping to pick one up myself, so if there are better deals out there let me know!

 

Does anyone know how good TRU's extended warranty is? I'm wondering about do they fix a screen for free if you drop it? Does Best Buy?

I was just at TRU and it is in fact the $30 dollars worth of iTunes giftcards PLUS a 15 dollar TRU gift card. That wasn't obvious from the weekly ad. It seemed the 15$ was only for the Nano but in fact it is also for the Touch.

Not much of a deal but my local sam's club is carrying both 8 and 16gb.
