erose630
Ok - so my 4 1/2 dd LOVES crafts - so we've decided to put together a huge basket of craft supplies for her "big" christmas present. She's already got craft basics - I want to get her some new stuff, ideally with project ideas built in. So far I've got little plaster figures she can paint and materials to make sock puppets. Any other ideas? I know I could walk around Michaels and just arbitrarily throw stuff in a basket but I'd like a plan...and I'm sure some of you have great crafts your kids love. TIA. kimpooh19
Do you get the Family Fun magazine? If not, I'm sure you can look on their website and get some great idea!:)
Promom
Also put in a Michaels gift card so she can pick something out herself after christmas, when she's bored with all her toys.
shopping mom
Michaels also has many little wooden things that can be painted. Some are like jewelry boxes or birdhouses. Then you could buy beards or sequins for making the keepsake boxes fancier. Glitter paint is fun too. They is also a type a paint that is safe for dishes. You could buy some inexpensive plates or cups from the dollar tree for her to paint.
amyers12345
My DD loves beading bracelets and necklaces. Walmart has some really cute sets for $9 or $10, and they have tons and tons of beads. I also got some little kits in the $ section at Michael's. She also has a Cuttlekids, a child sized Cuttlebug used to make die cuts. These are on clearance at my WM for $15, and can be bought for close to that at michael's with a coupon.
tokanm
How about those little loom things..that you make the pot holders with etc paint by number kit or paint on velvet kit? pipe cleaners, glue stick, glitter, markers, crayons, paint palette, coloring pages, pom poms to decorate with, construction paper, scissors (kid ones) iirc they even sell kits. I saw lots of this stuff at the Dollar Tree and they even had these nice baskets to put it all in
MathGirl
You should pick up a plastic storage drawer set at Target to keep her craft supplies in, instead of a basket. http://www.target.com/Sterilite-Wide-3-Drawer-Cart-White/dp/B000MPQ2S2/sr=1-6/qid=1228275042/ref=sr_1_6/175-5787700-9577839?ie=UTF8&index=target&rh=k:sterilite&page=1 They have them at the store. I've seen some in cute colors too.

devinmom
This is what our crafty kid uses the most: those scissors that cut funky googly eyes in all sizes craft sticks puff paints blank colored greeting cards fusion beads (the ones you make into shapes and then fuse together with the iron)
