amood06
I was thinking of getting the Lucky wonder pup for my daughter also. It seems to do more stuff, but when I looked at an infomercial on youtube. It seemed like the dog might have some problem with voice command. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-0BPrVjTx8 Anyway in my opinion Lucky is still better to play with than the other FurReal dog. Hope this helps.

afrey66
My daughter wanted Tumbles and I also showed her Lucky. She is still asking for Tumbles. However, I did end up finding Biscuit for a pretty good price so I bought him for part of her Christmas gift. However, she's 5....she was in love with Butterscotch when he first came out. She was around 3 1/2, I think. I waited until she was a little older to start buying her the more expensive Fur Real animals because they are very expensive and I want them to last her throughout her childhood. katiesmommy01
We have Lucky...picked it up when it came out ($60!!!)...my DD really liked him but he does not respond well to commands! You know how kids talk (not clearly 80% of the time)...the dog doesnt pick up the commands then, and even when the command is very clear (i've tried to do the commands too), the dog does a DIFFERENT command...it's very frustrating, for the child AND the parent. We still have him, but she doesnt play with him very often because of this...i'd steer clear IMO.
chefswife
we bought lucky last year at target right before Thanksgiving. I think that I payed around $30.00 for him on sale. He was a big hit! But be prepared to be annoyed!!! He does not always respond to the commands. Timming is a big issue when you give them and sometimes he does something completely different than what you told him to do. That being said, she loves him! A year later and she is still playing with him, even though he is broken. I just ordered Biscuit for her with my kohls 30% off. I hope he is worth the money!!! Her daughter doesn't play with it anymore either so I would probably steer clear too.
