Amy02 Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 I received a flier from IKEA last week. They are having sales this weekend. But on Tuesday, their 365+ dinnerware set will be 9.99 (reg. 29.99). It is a basic white set with 6 bowls, 6 dessert plates, and 6 dinner plates. The ad does state one per customer, and only while supplies last. We always stock up on these plates...good for guests...good for kids...and I'm not too mad when kids accidentally drop them. BTW, I also noticed that they have a simple table and 4 chairs for $59 (regularly $129). Hope this helps someone.
Fouronmyskirt Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Thanks. May have to go and check out the sale. I love IKEA.
hdebo Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 That is a good price on the dinnerware and table with chairs. I have a local Ikea near me and on Tuesday you can get free breakfast served till 10:30.
freesia39 Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 I have to work on Tuesday! Grr! I was really tempted to get the dining table + 4 chairs for only 59.99.
fairydustcrissy Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 I wish we had pne closerSame. The one here is 30 min away, but with traffic it's an hour drive
OhioRuth Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Thanks OP! My daughter moved out earlier this year and still doesn't have a dining room table. Need to see what the $59 set looks like first but thinking it'll be great for a "just getting started" set and will make a perfect Christmas gift!

Promom Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Has anyone been to one of these sales at Ikea? How many table sets are they gonna have. I've been wanting to go to get some other things, but it's a 2 hour drive for me. I thought I might as well go tomorrow but I won't get there until about 10 or 10:30 so I wan wondering if it was worth a trip to get the table set also.
Kayakmom Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Oooh! We donated our old table and now we have a huge one. I was bummed because it's really too big to use when we show our home. I think I'll try to go there right after ballet, which would get me there for the 10am opening. I might also grab those dishes to use for table props. Then I can use all that stuff for a breakfast nook type space overlooking the patio at the new house. Thanks for posting!!!
bugsette Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 I think the closet one to me is near Pittsburgh and that's about 2 hours away
Kayakmom Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 I called my local IKEA yesterday about the table and they only had two in stock but she called to the stock people and they said there would be 250 of them and they'd be set on a display in the middle of the warehouse. I hope I get one!
Kayakmom Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Wow! We got there at about 10:10, right after ballet, and got in line. It didn't take long at all to get through the line (maybe 15 minutes) but they only had two tickets for tables left after I got to the front of the line! Talk about just making it! I guess I got table 248 of 250. Lucky!
freesia39 Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Congrats! unfortunately I had to work today, and I was really tempted to get the table. I have the old, cheap Ikea table that is NOT stained or lacquered, and I had to purchase the two chairs separately. This was a monster deal.
alleyc Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 Great Deal ! I got there at 1130 and still had tons of dishes and Table sets... Putting table together right now wooohooo! Thanks For The Heads up!
