ixrayu05
So I have been thinking about either joining AAA or the allstate motor club. I was wondering if anyone knows of any deals, I am always looking to save a few bucks. Or has any opinion on either of these. I would need it for me and my husband. We have 3 cars. Thanks! ixrayu05
I have allstate. Did it add $7-$12 a month?
tokanm
I have AAA..don't know of any deals per se but with the AAA card you can get so many discounts at stores, restuarants etc, etc. If you you it even once it is worth the investment The big discounts are on trips, theme parks and movies. amberjobryant
I can't remember if it was a month or total I would have to look at my policy, I do remember the amount was so small that we didn't really notice the increase and we have used it a couple times with no problems

Marcster
Towing is typically $4-5 per year per vehicle on your insurance policy. AAA is nice because it is assigned to the person named on the card -- so if you are with a friend and their car breaks down, or in a rental vehicle. jax81772
We have AAA.. and LOVE IT!!!!!!1 From the free guide books, to the discounts, and if you ahve locked yourself out.. or ran out of gas.. or have a flat... and you dont want to change it.. it pays for itself one time. You can also use it online for discounts.. and at payless shoes.. and many other places.
ixrayu05
Thanks everyone. I found that I could get the plus membership for my husband and I for $93 a year. Does that seem like an average price?
First Lady
I think last time we got AAA it was $108 or $118 for DH and I and the plus membership, so that sounds like a good deal! We also have towing on our car insurance, but that's like $5 a year so we keep it just incase.
freesia39
AAA is worth it. Here in CA, I love it. - Guidebooks and free maps (good if you're on a long road trip) - Free towing/battery jumps (depending on level of membership. worth it even if it's not your car in trouble!) - Notary Services - Passport picture services - The absolute best part: DMV services without having to go to DMV. I've paid my registration and received my stickers on the spot. We've changed the liability on vehicles we've sold. I'll be going there to update my license with my new name. The wait is nowhere near DMV insanity, and without a DMV employee.
