JennG Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 My SIL just wrote my husband and told her that her youngest is into Ben 10. I have NO clue with this is or what they make for kids to play with. Does anyone have any ideas.. Also the oldest is into science stuff. Does anyone have any thoughts. They do not get much from home so I try to send them nice stuff. Any help would be great!

mgmckny Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 Ben 10 Alien FOrce is the current series-- my 11yr old has the original omnitrix (wear it like a watch and it makes noises). As cartoons go, it's one of the newer ones that I can stand! What kind of science is he into. Astronomy or Chemistry come to mind. A telescope for star gazing if astronomy's his game or maybe a microscope if he's more lab oriented...
amberjobryant Posted September 22, 2008 Posted September 22, 2008 last year walgreens and cvs both had telescopes and microscope sets on sale bf, as for ben 10, they sell the stuff at walmart and places like that my ds has never really been into it so i am not sure about it going on sale.
conj Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 DS8 loves it. the original and the Alien force series. they have really cool action figures - probably can find them on Amazon. as for science - how old? volcano kits are fun. Radio shack always had build your own radio (or clock) sets...

laddhorn Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 If you have a Hobby Lobby near, they have some neat science stuff. DS9 got a cool dig-up-your-own-dinosaur-fossil kit from there. Make sure that he does it outside tho. It makes a big mess.
mam627 Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 I bought my ds several Ben 10 toys last year from Amazon when they had their big toy sale. They cost about $2-$3 a piece IIRC...maybe they'll have them on sale again this year. Good luck!
