Parking Tags?

Recommended Posts

I'm heading up a parking reform committee for my HOA community. We want to start requiring different color parking stickers w/random id numbers for the cars (to cut down on houses having like 10 cars)...does anyone know of some good sites to order these from? i'd appreciate any experiences with this kind of system as well as referrals to quality products we could use (we want stickers and not hang tags so people have to register their vehicles w/the number and cannot switch the tags to other cars). TIA!!!

This was the first place that came up in google:

http://www.needdecals.com/

I'm not sure where we order our decals from here at the university. It has to be from somewhere though. Ours you can either stick up in the windshield or on a hangtag, so for you, just don't order the hangtag.

Personally though, I don't like having to stick anything in the windshields of my car unless I know it can easily peel off, in case I move or leave that company.

With my first read , this was my exact thought. My dh and I detest putting any sticker of any kind on our vehicles. If it isn't easily removable, we won't do it.

It may be best to look into the hang tags also.

I agree too that I hate sticking anything on my car that doesn't remove very easily. Hang tags would be my choice too

The community we live in in NE PA has sticker passes. When we pay our dues we get a small sticker to put on our rearview mirror on the left sde (we put ours on the right side because we have the weather and direction sensor on the left)and also a larger sticker to put on the back bumper. These both have the same #. We are allowed 2 vehicle with our dues and for additional vehicles we have to pay extra for stickers.

Our stickers are our identification for us to use the garbage dump to dump our garbage.

If you want I could go on Tuesday and ask them where they get our stickers from.

that would be great! also, how does your system work and how do people like it? I think we'll be getting alot of upset folks right after this is implemented :yuck:

How much do you pay? I would hate to pay a few hundred per month for the HOA fees and then find out it's another 200 per year per extra vehicle.

I had flashbacks to when my brother and I were in high school, and my family had four vehicles - two in the garage, two in the driveway or in front of the house. Talk about a possible deal breaker to our parents letting us drive.

Our commuity is a "gated community" even though anyone can come in because we have 29different entrances. we pay $649/year dues. That includes garbage 4 days/week. Pool, tennis courts, clubhouse, swim team, playground, basketball courts and snow plowing and 24 hour security that drives around. We get 2 ids for two vehicles with our dues. If we have more cars it is $10 extra per car. We also get badges to access the pool area and clubhouse. My DS12 can now goto the clubhouse and pool on his own. We do have security personnel (one person stays at the clubhouse to keep a watch over the kids there. The pool has 4 lifeguards on duty whenever it is open. IF cars are found on our ommunity roads without a sticker or a temporary pass for visitors they are towed. I will go over tothe office on Tuesday and ask what company they use for the stickers, If you ave any other questions just let me know.

just want to echo the thought of hanging tags. We have stickers for work... and I put the tags on my old car (the corolla) but refused when I got the SUV, and no way in heck on the convertible.

Security is really understanding, and will look for the tag on the dash, or hanging in a D-I-Y fashion.
