jax81772 Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 I just looked... and Office Depot has already put up next weeks circular... rulers.. protractors... cap erasers...and folders... all 1 cent... there are more deals on the second page as well... highlighters.. plastic dividers... bag packs... Just wanted everyone to know...
citrixgirl Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 this is going to be great for me I have a family friend that is on hard times and I have taken on there school list.
biomajor Posted July 11, 2008 Posted July 11, 2008 This is awesome. I bought supplies for the classroom I assist in last year, but that teacher was fired (WOOHOO!!) and took all of the supplies that I bought with her, so I have to buy more for the classroom this year--trust me, a couple of dollars was well worth her leaving!
jax81772 Posted July 12, 2008 Author Posted July 12, 2008 Just.. FYI... if your a teacher... take some form of school id... showing your a teacher or aid.. and they will up the limits they place on the 1 cent items... I asked about this at staples specificly...
letsbeon Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 Thanks for the heads up...being a teacher I sure can save some money buying classroom supplies!! WoooHoooo
mywarmbluefleece Posted July 12, 2008 Posted July 12, 2008 Thanks. There aren't any near me in Ohio, but there are in Florida when I teach. I'm going to send my brother!
bharper44 Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 I did not get an Office Depot ad and I dont see the ad online. Is this sale regional or am I just blind?
sunni0913 Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 i picked up the limit on protractors, rulers, cap erasers, and folders today and spent .38 cents..
Rockfordmom Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 I went this morning right after they opened and got everything except the rulers, but they had them in stock :) A friend of mine just went a couple of hours ago and she said that everything was gone except the folders
trbarginhunter Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 Yippeee! I've got all the folders I need for the Girl Scout Cookie sale...and picked up the limit on rulers and protractors....spend less than a $1. Gave the protractors to a friend who does tutoring for kids behind in math, she wanted to pay me;) I told her I had it covered....
thmain Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 I was so amazed as I picked up the limit on rulers, protractors, and erasers. My total before the discount was $17.xx! I paid only 16 cents!!!!!! The protractors alone were listed as $1.99 each. Wow, what a deal, this is my kind of back to school shopping!
jdflores Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Missed the rulers, but was told they'll probably get more. I guess he was a manager and he told me when they get shipments in. He said they'd have other penny deals for the next week as well.
maxndeals Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 I saw a lady at Wal-Mart using the Office Depot paper for price matching. I went home and looked at it and it said this stuff was Office Depot brand. Will Wal-Mart price match an off brand?
Christy Garner Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 no, walmart should not be doing a price match on an office depot brand. i price match at walmart most of the time and it always has to be for the exact same item. seems to me the lady either got lucky or had a new cashier who was not aware of what she was doing
cberrytech Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 I went on Monday but they were sold out of all the good deals except the folders. I bought so many folders at Staples last week that I knew I did not need any more. When I asked an associate about the penny deals, she said they were all sold out, so I put my basket back and left. She looked disappointed. No way they were getting me to pay the higher prices like they planned.
suzi1975 Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 always price match at wal-mart to but they told me that if it was another store brand like office depot that you could price match it for wal-marts brand. I also price matched the office depot sale at my local wal-mart.

thmain Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Sneak peek at Sunday's ad: (items may vary according to area) 2 pocket poly folders 1 cent Filler notebook paper (150 sheets) 15 cents 16 pack Scholastic crayons 25 cents 1 inch vinyl binder 50 cents Sharp Scientific Calculator free after mail in savings
KrisinTn Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Thanks! Looks like I will be stocking up on notebook paper...
Rockfordmom Posted July 18, 2008 Posted July 18, 2008 Thanks for posting this! They have had that same calculator free after rebate for 3 years in a row now during back to school sales. lol
letsbeon Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 WOHO!!! Thanks for the posting---being a teacher, I sure can save some bucks. I especially like the deal on the poly folders---last so much longer than the paper ones!!! My first graders destroy them in no time. I usually laminate the paper ones, but that takes sooooo much time. The folks on Gotta Deal ROCK!!!
biomajor Posted July 19, 2008 Posted July 19, 2008 I went to Office Depot today and they still had the folders. They also had boxes of hanging file folders for $2 and colored boxes of regular file folders (48 per box) for $2. I think there are 24 of the hanging per box.
citrixgirl Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 next weeks ad is uphttp://officedepot.shoplocal.com/officedepot/Default.aspx?action=browsepageflash&storeid=2471477&rapid=569066&pagenumber=1&prvid=OfficeDepot-080727&promotioncode=OfficeDepot-080727
dee16 Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 Thanks I have to get some of the Composition notebook
Ragsmeow Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 I got the same composition notebooks yesterday at Target for 50 cents each, so not that great of a savings at Office Depot.
Rockfordmom Posted July 25, 2008 Posted July 25, 2008 next weeks ad is uphttp://officedepot.shoplocal.com/officedepot/Default.aspx?action=browsepageflash&storeid=2471477&rapid=569066&pagenumber=1&prvid=OfficeDepot-080727&promotioncode=OfficeDepot-080727thanks for posting this again!
blessedmamax7 Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 I took in identification to get what I needed for my classroom and they would only let me have the 5 limit. I was pretty upset but that's OK. I am going to take my 7 kids and 2 visiting kids tomorrow and five them all money to pay for what I need!
