I tried searching the forums and haven't seen this one posted yet, so my apologies if it is.

Apple is offering a free ipod Nano or up to $300 toward the purchase of an iPod touch (the 8GB model would be free). The catch is that it is for the education related website (must be a student or employee of a school/institution I believe). You can check out the store which has the deal advertised with any restrictions. If you're planning on purchasing one soon (deal doesn't expire until the middle of September 2008), you might as well get a free or nearly free iPod. Check out the Apple store for the advertisement.

P.S. I tried to include a link, but I haven't posted much here before. If someone wants to check it out and include a link, feel free!

By the way, it's not really free free - you have to purchase the two together on the same receipt, and then submit it for a rebate.

However, the promo that Apple has been running on this has been getting better every year!! I've been considering a MacBook and the ability to get an Ipod Touch, whether or not I want to keep it, is very tempting.

It must be purchased at an Apple Store, or authorized apple retailer. If your campus sells apple products, that should also work. Check with them for details.

Don't forget about their student discount. By student they don't mean college. As long as you have somebody in your home who attends school they give you I think a 15% discount. Ask for it.:)
