miller205
I have been trying to figure out which ink cartridges go to this printer? It looks like it only takes a color cartridge which means it uses all three colors to make black. Anyone know?
amberleigh2
I'm not sure about this model..but I had a Lexmark ,it was a good printer, but the the ink was like someone else said more then the printer & could get pretty expensive.
hannahs_momma
I just checked and sorry but it only uses the multi color but you can refill them
miller205
I actually found another model that takes 2 cartridges (one black, one color) for $29.99 w/ 97 cent shipping so I am good. I needed a Lexmark bc mine died and I had extra black cartridges so I wanted to be able to use them.
mildmom
Yes, Lexmark is some of the more expensive ink out there...check out how much ink comes in the refills too.. DH Did refill it himself a few times... pretty messy...he hasn't used his printer in months because he doesn't want to pay for the cartridges...I can't say off hand how much more expensive it it..... lost26
i dont know if this helps or not but most of the lexmark printers are coming out with the color ink with them and the black sold seperatly...like my lexmark has a color ink of #27 and the black ink is #17....almost all lexmarks i have seen is like this...if the color is #28 then the black is usually going to be #18..... erinplus3
Anyone end up buying this? Just wondering if you like it.
mywarmbluefleece
I got it a few years ago when it was on this special, I love it! The cartridges were like $17. I always used it with ink saver mode. Very good investment!
erinplus3
I'm out of ink in my old Lexmark, and I think I'll buy this printer instead of spending $50 on ink for my old one. Thanks for the good review. :)
staviles
I bought this one as well and loved it...I just refill the cartridges at Walgreens for $10/color and they work fine!!
