ixrayu05 Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 I am looking for a plastic toy box for my daughter, any suggestions??
noehlp Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 I agree, check the site Afrey mentioned. What price range are you looking for? Are you looking for particular colors to match a room's decor? How big do you want it?
shelleee Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 Just received this one from Little Tikes....love it.
tokanm Posted April 8, 2008 Posted April 8, 2008 I always see the nice LT ones at yard sales for cheap. My son had a huge LT soccer ball toy box and we had a green/blue box shaped one. Those things are indestructable
ixrayu05 Posted April 8, 2008 Author Posted April 8, 2008 Thanks a lot, that looks like the perfect kind! Really I am not pickey on colors...I have a girl so it could be pink or more of the basic colors. I would like to spend under $100, of course the cheaper the better. I am not really sure of a size, are those little tykes ones a decent size? Does anyone also know if those ever go on sale or would it be better to just buy it now? Thanks for all of your help, I really apprecaite it (and so does my daughter:D)
noehlp Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Okay, found this just a minute ago. It's not girly color but it's a nice price. :) Step2 LifeStyle Soft & Sturdy Toy Box Now $49.88 Was $59.88Free Site-to-Store Shipping http://i.walmart.com/i/p/00/73/35/38/75/0073353875589_215X215.jpg

katiesmommy01 Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 We have 3 toy boxes! One i bought a wood box at a craft store and painted it white. The other 2 are HUGE LT ones, both from garage sales...one i got for $1! Hit up the flea markets and garage sales that are starting soon, you'll find one immediately for nothing!
MelissaS Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 I am looking for a plastic toy box for my daughter, any suggestions?? Definitely check your local craigslist before ordering new. We have this one: http://www.step2.com/product.cfm?product_id=1126 I love how the lid just slides back into the toy box. We also have this one: http://www.littletikes.com/toys/giant-toy-chest.aspx?Ne=1&N=26+100 And this one: http://www.littletikes.com/Toys/thomas-friends-toy-box.aspx?Ne=1&N=26+100
ixrayu05 Posted April 10, 2008 Author Posted April 10, 2008 Thanks for everyones advice! I really have some looking around to do!
txmomma Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 The LT toybox is huge...definitely check craigslist first tho. I have seen them in Toys R Us but I don't know if they ever go on sale.
DaveL Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 We use a couple of rubbermaid totes as toyboxes. They are cheap and we can rotate them out so they don't get tired of the same toys. The price that they want for some of the large ones like Little Tykes is ridiculous.
natasha Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Just received this one from Little Tikes....love it.My TJMaxx a couple of these in stock. I am sure that they were at a discounted price. If you one close to you, you might check into it.
naturegirl Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 I use rubbermaid boxes too. that way they dont have all the toys buried in one big box, and rubbermaid is durable and cheap. I let them put their stickers on it so they love personalizing it too.
DaveL Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Yep, they love putting stickers on the ones we have too!
ixrayu05 Posted April 12, 2008 Author Posted April 12, 2008 Thanks, I went to TJMaxx and bought the little tikes one for 39.99, what a great deal! It's the same one they have on the website with the little storage containers on the bottom. THANKS TO EVERYONE, my daughter is thankful!:)
