redraven21 Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 I was wandering where or how i can find a very good deal on blood pressure monitor
mahalia52 Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 My doctor told me to buy one and he wrote a prescription for it, so I was able to get one free through my health insurance at work, you may want to check on this!!!
freesia39 Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 did you get a recommendation on which one to get? omron makes good monitors, but i would get the automatic ones - don't get the ones you have to pump yourself!! i have this one: http://www.amazon.com/Omron-HEM-712C-Automatic-Pressure-IntelliSense/dp/B00006WNPX/ref=pd_bbs_sr_4?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1207375391&sr=8-4 my doctor said it was fairly accurate.
Sugar&Spice Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 After you get one, take it with you to your next doctor's appt. Compare the reading they get in the office with what you get when you take it with your monitor. That way, not only can you make sure it is accurate but the doc can see that you will be getting accurate readings at home.
annfmeyer Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 A lot of times I have seen them nearly free after rebate at walgreens.
