Cheap Boy Scout Uniforms???

I am needing to find a site where I can purchase boy scout uniform items at a discounted or reasonable rate, my son is moving up in rank this spring and I need new everything!

I have tried both, scouting is not that big around here so the thrift stores don't have any and ebay is hit or miss......

Check with some of the older kids that are moving up, they might have one. so if your bear is going to be a webelo, check the outgoing webelos to see if the will give you theirs. sometimes the pack will have a uniform closet.

Our pack also has a uniform closet - also I would mention to the scout master that you need new a uniform- he may beable to guide you to someone that has grown out of theirs....

The uniform is SO expensive $40 for pants! (the zip off kind)... I don't even spend that on my pants... and I am not growing several inches each year! - (not up anyway :))

FYI the boy scout uniform is changing. I can't remember how soon, but it is within this year I believe. They have not announced the new uniform. Granted the current uniform will still be official and able to wear, but if he is just moving up, you might want to hold off a bit until they announce what the new stuff will be.

 

Or, our scout shop is selling the new zip off pants at a very reduced priced...because they will not be part of the new uniform. So you might be able to get some new stuff for cheap. Check out your scout shop and see.
