Heather_0617 Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 I am looking for a good price on a Kitchen TV. I would like to be able to mount it under the counter so it can fold up out of the way when not in use. I do not care if it has a DVD with it or not. Can anyone help me out? Thank you
lindabacker Posted February 23, 2008 Posted February 23, 2008 Sorry, I dont know of any good deals now, I caught the dvd/lcd under cabinet one on clearance at Target in January for 50% off. I would scan Sunday's sales adds though, this is usually the time of year - after superbowl that tv's go on clearance in most stores.

I do not think they ever had a second one because I looked around the Holidays too.
noehlp Posted March 1, 2008 Posted March 1, 2008 Yes. Did you find something?Nope not yet, but trying to kill some time today, and decided to look for stuff for folks. So after I fix my kids' lunch I will be off and looking for you. Any price range? Any specs that you require? (color/etc)

(color/etc)No not really, I just want something so that while I am cooking and/or cleaning (which is way too often) I can see something. The only thing is that it mounts so that it is not on my counter.I seen one at Target that is 200 for a 10inch. I am thinking that is my best bet. It has DVD but I really do not need that.

Heather_0617 Posted March 2, 2008 Author Posted March 2, 2008 Those look great - thank you I will sit and check them out now. On the one at Target it says this .... CONSUMER ALERT: This television receiver has only an analog broadcast tuner and will require a converter box after February 17, 2009 to receive over-the-air broadcasts with an antenna because of the U.S.'s transition to digital broadcasting. Analog-only TVs should continue to work as before with cable and satellite TV services, gaming consoles, VCRs, DVD players, and similar products. For more information, call the Federal Communications Commission at 1-888-225-5322 (TTY: 1-888-835-5322), or visit the commission's digital-television Web site at: www.dtv.gov. Can't I hook up a regular cable line from Comcast to any of these TV's so they will be fine? I am really confused on this now.

I am really confused on this now.I think that has to do with the HD tv conversion thing going on next year. I honestly am not that technically inclined, so you may want to pose that question over in the Technology forum here on the board. HTH
freesia39 Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Can't I hook up a regular cable line from Comcast to any of these TV's so they will be fine? I am really confused on this now.yes. they are just warning you that if you used an antenna to get your TV signals for broadcast stations, it would not work after the digital conversion next feb. it doesn't apply on cable.
