annmarie780 Posted February 23, 2008 Share Posted February 23, 2008 No problem. My first digital camera was the Canon S500 5mp Coach Edition and I thought that it took marvelous pictures. I had the Canon APS Elph before that and loved it. I upgraded to the Sony Cybershot DSC-N2 10.1MP Digital Camera and to be honest with you, I think the Canon 5mp camera took better pictures than the Sony 10mp one does. For the $140 price, I'd look at the a570is by Canon.That's what I have ( 720IS) and it's a great camera. It also has a 6X optical zoom compared to only 2.4X for the S40.
