afrey66
I've finally bought myself an MP3 Player as I finally decided I would have use for one and as an incentive to start walking during my lunch hour. Now I'm ready to load it up with songs! Any suggestions for free or discounted downloads would be appreciated. TIA.
AndreaInNC
Pepsi is about to start a program that will give you music downloads as a reward for drinking Pepsi. I don't have the details at work - but someone here probably can fill you in on that. You can also check around at Circuit City or Best Buy for someone giving a free trial. I didn't like emusic - fyi - nothing mainstream. But you can probably pick up a Napster free trial at Best Buy. But if you have your own CDs, you can just put those on your MP3 player - that's what I did.
yellowjeepster
Also when you buy music online make sure that you are getting it in mp3 format. I bought some from rhapsody when they were cheap on bf. Some were rax files that couldn't be transferred. Had to burn them onto a cd and then ripp that cd back onto my puter in mp3 format. Then I was able to use them and load onto my player.
afrey66
Thanks for the suggestions! I have a lot of music on my work laptop so I think I'll transfer it to my MP3 player.
