Perimeter Perusing at Target (Target Clearance Deals) - 2008

yeah, now that really is unfair, and worth a call to complain to corporate as far as I am concerned. This happened at Christmas a couple of years ago when employees were buying the TMX Elmos. They told us that can get fired for it, and when they saw we were upset, they brought one back to us.

My hubby worked in the backroom overnight at Target for 2 years. When these came out we were dying to get one for our son. The store manager there wouldn't let my hubby get one until he clocked out & went to the store like any other customer. Personally, I think that whole thing is a sticky situation. But, I think how his particular store handled it was great.

We hit up 3 stores yesterday first store had still not marked anything at like 10am so we headed to another store & cleaned up. Definitely have DS's 3rd birthday & the majority of his Christmas shopping taken care of along with the nieces and nephews. Not bad for like $100!!! :eyepoppin I don't know what I'm going to do once DS2 is too old to take Christmas shopping with me LOL he had a blast yesterday!

Anyways, heres my finds:

###086-04-0800 Baby Born- Mommys little wonder $4.98

###204-03-1329 Geo Trax Sets (Rope n' ride ranch & Chop n' haul sawmill) $5.24

###204-00-0803 Bionicle $2.48

Yup. have to agree. the main thing is that everyone have an equal chance to get them. These employees were walking out from the toy department before we even got back there, and we were the first people in the door, so we didn't have a chance. And they cleaned the shelf of them with 2 apiece. Definitely not good. it is a sticky situation, and there should be perks for employees, but it really gives the store a black eye, so if they are going to allow it, it should not be so visible.

Just 3 quick updates:

1. I updated the OP to make the formatting a little better, cleaned up some grammar and punctuation things and a few other minor tweaks. If anyone has info they'd like to see added to the OP, please PM me.

2. The script now updates the summary post every 15 minutes instead of hourly, so updates should appear sooner in the listing.

3. I created a simple, text-only version of the current monthly list. This is a good way to print the current list to take with you, or to view it on a cell phone (without having to load the whole forum). You can see that here: http://www.perimeterperusing.com

I couldn't even find the off brand table or any Thomas things, except a bath toy.:g_shrug:

The one I found was an off brand....something like "Little Tree" or "Learning Tree". Anyway, it is wooden and has a 2 sided play surface as well as storage bins on the side :) Very psyched to get it home and put it to use :)

To the person who said...

ok, I love you guys SOOOO much! Hit up the Concordville, PA store at 8:30am (while my DD6 was in ESY)...there were 3 associates w/guns changing the 30% to 75%, and i was ALONE...got my pick of anything...was kinda what my heaven would look like! lol...took me a minute to figure out that they needed to scan the item for me to get the lower price (since it wasn't in the system at that price yet)...

Some stuff I picked up:

I stopped at Target on my lunch break, and by the time I got there at like 11:30, it was TOTALLY picked over. I did get a couple of things, one being a "What will they think of next sandbox with canopy" which will be a fantastic gift for my neice for her Spring B-Day!! So since i was disappointed with my first store, I stopped by my local target on my way home from work, and OMG!!! I got there, and there was LITERALLY no one in the toy department and all of the signs still said 30% off... at first I was bummed because I thought maybe my store was behind everyone else... OHHHH NOOOOO.... I think you and I were in the same kind of heaven!!! 75% off and NO ONE IN SIGHT!!! Not even employees since it was already all marked down... I got two whole carts (which filled my ford Escape) for around $200 and I am done with Christmas and birthdays until the next 75% off sale!!! gotta love it when it is all waiting... just for you!!!! :2cloud9:

That was me! lol...my DD6 thinks it's awesome that I love toys as much as she does...she's also a huge fan of the Target 75% off sale :) she actually ran towards the toy section :gdrunner:(causing others to laugh). She knows the red tags and that she can only get something if it has one :yup: our entire storage room and finished basement are FILLED with toys at the moment...my DD said that we need a bigger house for more toys, lol :gdclap:

From the 30% off bulk section:

### 231-03-0020 Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal 2-pack $3.48

It's normally that price for one box, and it had a sticky coupon on the front for a free half-gallon of Silk soy milk up to a $4.99 value, good until the end of the year.

Tonight I got:

### Pampers Baby Dry size 1-2 192 ct. for $13.98

### Diego chalk set $.78

### Hannah Montana doll $3.74

### Oliver (Hannah Montana) doll $3.74

I also had a Target coupon for Pampers $3 off if you buy diapers and Pampers wipes 180 ct or more and I also had a $2 man Q, so out of pocket for diapers $8.98

LOL...my bad!!!! It was the off brand table...I was still half asleep when I posted my stuff from getting up so early yesterday...I just saw thomas train too much. LOL

If you go back and edit your post, it will automatically be updated in the summary list so others won't be confused down the line :)

I am so sad that I missed this!!! I was in the hospital yesterday with kidney stones - OUCH! And saw this today. I went to Target, but those were some BARE shelves. One of the stores near me (Fort Union, UT) always goes late. I started there thinking that they would still have something left, but literally there were maybe 20 little things left on clearance in the whole department.

I was dying to get some of the Leapster stuff for my son for Christmas. :(

All that and I couldn't even find the baby clothes clearance. Disappointing day.

Owwee! My gall stones were bad enough, but I hear kidney stones are even more painful. I really hope you are feeling better. :gdhug1:

Anyway, Amazon hasn't done their big toy clearance yet, so there's still hope for the Leapster stuff. And then you can hit Target's after-Christmas toy clearance and get a jump on next year.

anyone have a guess on when the crystal light 3 pack boxes will go down again? I would love these for son for his lunches. I bought them last year and he LOVED them! He likes a packet of the crystal light lemonade w/ his bottled water everyday at school.... Right now they are roughly $6 a pack. Too pricey so far for me.. Not sure when I should go back to check.

A heads up to those looking for clearance baby stuff (strollers, car seats, high chairs, etc.) check the whole store. Saw a ton randomly placed on shelves near school supplies/gardening. Checked the baby section and nothing was marked clearance there. They had items ranging from 15%-50% off. Some I could jot down DCPI's for:

###030-09-1673 Graco Alano Stroller $94.98 (50% off)

###030-09-1761 Fisher Price Galloping Fun Jumperoo $35.48 (50% off)

###030-09-1462 Eddie Bauer High Chair $64.98 (50% off)

I didn't scan any of the items because I wasn't going to buy, so it's possible they could have rung up lower than marked. Carseats and boosters were only marked 15% off.

went to another Target today and found the

###Step 2 Motorcycle for $4.98 :)

I knew I should have scanned this today!

The cozy coupe II was $49 so I didn't bother with the motorcycle. I didn't see any of the orig cozy coupes. I was able to get a cashier to disc. the Thomas laptop & large Tonka johndear tractor with frontloader down to 75%. They were both still scanning 50%.:)
