For the Birkenstocks - I looked at the pricing and avail. chart and the only ones that are around $25 are the Dark Brown 35N EU and 36R EU. The rest are about $70 and up, with most being around $100.

 

Too bad they don't have my size because I live in these all summer long!

Didn't last very long....I snagged a couple of pairs of men's waterproof Bugabootres for $35.99. Regular price was $119.99 and that is what they are at Shoes.com. I placed the order then about 10 minutes later went back to order some more for family and they were all $99.99, even sizes that had been $35.99 a few minutes earlier. I did get order confirmation from my first order.

 

Do you guys think these were mistakes caught by Amazon or just that they responded to a surge in demand by raising prices?

I think amazon has their merchandise at the low prices and when their inventory sells out the prices seem to jump because it's now the other stores' merchandise being sold at their prices (shoemall, etc). So if you got the last size 10 in a style from amazon's inventory for $35, shoemall might have it available for $119 so it looks like the price jumped but really you just got the last pair that was at the lower price.

 

You know how usually if you search for a certain item on amazon it will show up at three prices from three sellers? Well for some reason they merged everything together for the shoes. It's weird.

 

A lot of the ridiculously low prices are still there, they're just hard to find because they're selling out of a lot of it. The best way to find them is to go to amazon's home page and click "shoes" and then your size and then scroll down and select 50%-70% or 70% or more under discounts.
