Yeah-it appears Blu-ray is winning/won the battle. At least with the adjustment the price isn't bad. You can still get HD rentals and hopefully by the time they're obsolete blu-rays will be cheaper.

I think amazon has their merchandise at the low prices and when their inventory sells out the prices seem to jump because it's now the other stores' merchandise being sold at their prices (shoemall, etc). So if you got the last size 10 in a style from amazon's inventory for $35, shoemall might have it available for $119 so it looks like the price jumped but really you just got the last pair that was at the lower price. You know how usually if you search for a certain item on amazon it will show up at three prices from three sellers? Well for some reason they merged everything together for the shoes. It's weird. A lot of the ridiculously low prices are still there, they're just hard to find because they're selling out of a lot of it. The best way to find them is to go to amazon's home page and click "shoes" and then your size and then scroll down and select 50%-70% or 70% or more under discounts.

Zappos will give you the lower price up front as long as they can verify the price online (and that it is in stock in the same color/size). Call them and once they adjust the price you give them your cc info and place the order over the phone. They are VERY easy to deal with. The few times I've called for a price match they actually sounded happy for me. LOL nlschr0: Why not just buy one from zappos and one from amazon? The amazon price isn't bad.
