Hi,

I found this on another site, tried it, and it works!!!

Walgreens has their P & G reward sale going on to Dec. 29th. Buy 3/$20, head n shoulders, herbal essence, pantene, infusium 23, or nice n easy products get $10 in register rewards. Well, their clearance works too!! Make sure you check the shampoo/conditioner volume sizes(it's for the BIG bottles), BUT any nice n easy hair coloring seems to work.

Here's the deal:

Buy 2 nice n easy for 3.69(clearanced)

Buy 1 nice n easy for 2.89(clearanced)

TOTAl $10.27

use 2 $5/1 nice n easy coupons(they are on the back of the boxes of Hydrience hair color. They have blue towards the bottom of the boxes. The peelie is primarily orange and thick so if you feel behind the boxes you can tell if it is there. It does NOT state "on your next purchase".)

Total OOP w/tax $.83 and the $10 register reward(good towards your next purchase) spits out!

They go right through because your N&E purchase is over $10. But you won't get a P&G cat if you use a P&G cat to pay (their way of avoiding "rolling" of the rewards).

Ooo-- this would work good too:

use the $10 RR from the OP's scenario to do the Coke 12 pk deal on the current 3 day sale (Coke products- 12 packs 4/$11, get $4 RR)! Final total would be 1.83 OOP, and you'd get 3 Nice & Easy hair colorings, 4 Coke 12 pks, AND a $4 RR for another purchase! :D

I tried doing this with the clearanced out big bottles of Pantene, but the manager said nope! will only work on the 3/$20:( OH well, I have used so many coupons and bought so much stuff on clearance at Walgreens (is right next door to work, so there every day), that most days I walk out of there feeling bad for paying so little for so much, but you know what? That just goes to show that it pays to be thrifty, clip coupons and then stack them, plus wait out some things to go to clearance. :D On my way back to Walgreens now with my $5.00 off coupon and my $2.00 of Dove and my $1.25 of Kotex and will get the BIGO Arm & Hammer Laundry Soap and the 4/$12 cokes and use my other $10 RR, so will pay maybe $1.xx OOP!!!!

you tried doing it (you purchased it and nothing printed out) or you asked the manager if it would work and he/she said no? technically it isn't supposed to work and typically managers usually don't know how to get great deals in their own stores, but that doesn't mean that it won't work if you try it... I've bought things on clearance before and register rewards have printed out even though they weren't supposed to.

9 out of ten times, the rewards work effortlessly... but i make sure that i 'm only getting things i need, just in case it wont go thru- i've had to mail off for the rewards after that didn't spit out a couple of times.

Hey guys,

Guess what I bought w/my register rewards???? 2 $50 gas cards!!! The register rewards say not valid on WALGREENS gift cards, it doesn't stipulate any other gift cards. It does say 1 coupon PER item, so I bought 12 pencils for $2(coupon in their ad 6 @ $1) and 2 $50 gas cards, used 10 $10 register rewards, and paid $2.11 OOP. All together, with what I had to pay OOP(including the purchases to get the register rewards), the $100 in gas, cost me about $14.00!!!!

Hi,

You need to buy 3 of the 1st post items, and then a $10 register reward receipt prints out. You can use the $10 register reward like cash at Walgreens(it counts as 1 coupon, and you can only have 1 coupon PER item, ALSO, you can't use the register reward to pay for more P & G items(the $10 rr will NOT print out)).

Hope that helps,

No, I actually bought them because my girls use it anyways, and they were on clearance:D, but nothing printed..so since the manager was at the next register helping with the holiday lines..he said nope..only on the 3/$20 and showed me the ad..of course I feigned ignorance:D..OH! I get it..sorry!! Anyways, tried it and no go at mine..did get RR for the cokes though!!

Ok, ran around to Walgreens today. Ended up w/$210 in register rewards. Bought 4 $50 gas cards for a total OOP of $38! Plus, I still have $20 in register rewards left over. My husband is impressed to say the least.
