256MB or 512MB RAM for Dell Dimension 4500S

Recommended Posts

Dell's don't always do well with higher speed memory. I think it was a dimension 4500 that I upgraded, and it wouldn't accept PC3200, it needed PC2100. If that does work, that's a great deal, though.

That was my same concern.

I wouldn't want to spend the money then discover it's not 100% compatible.

$25.99 shipped. That's the best I found at my regular places.

No sense in paying more for PC2100 memory... PC3200 is backwards compatible.

The one I posted is $16.99 shipped after rebate, AND it was in the daily deals BEFORE Ross posted this...

I think he has gotten too busy to check his own forum first.

ok ok..

I see your point.

I've upgraded Dells before and haven't had a problem.

tell you what...

You have the sdible guarantee stamp.

Purchase the memory... if it doesn't work, I will reimburse you your full cost and you can send it to me. They don't ship to APOs, and I'm looking for some spare sticks of PC3200.

I will even include extra for shipping and your time.

Wow, Ross - this sounds like a no-brainer to me. :g_thumble

Say, Scott - I need to get 1GB of RAM myself...will you refund my money too? ;)
