nick_jenni_jocelyn
I know there have been threads about Kirby vaccums, but i didnt see one about the sentria. I had a demonstration in my home yesterday and i cant get them little discs with all the dirt out of my mind, lol. It came with a huge amount of attachments. The final price they offered us was $1500 but I think i might be able to get them lower, but i know NOTHING about kirby vaccums. my SIL has one and I want to talk to her about hers, but i am so busy these days, i cant find the time. I have been reading a lot of reviews at www.eopinions.com and most if not all say that its a good vaccum and worth the money. Anyone here give me some reviews? They offered us $80 down/$60 a month. They would give me the vaccum now and not make a first payment until March. I have never had a solicitation or demonstration in my house before so i am wondering what others have done in the past. I told the salesman that I have to talk to my DH about such big purchases(which i do anyways) and he seemed to be ok with that, packed up his stuff, gave me his card and left. thanks to any opinions! Rockfordmom
when he calls back tell him that you talked to your husband and you husband thinks that is too much to pay for a vacuum and he should go down
Xfeg
Also read what the Better Business Bureau says about them. Once I read that it really deterred me from letting them come in my home. A lot of people here sell them on craigslist.
acis516
my Mom has one she bought years ago, when they were in out neighborhood. she had them come to our house last and she bought the model they were demonstrating with for $
inluvstill
I used to be a secretary for a Kirby office. they will definitely come down, our reps sold them for well under $1,000 at times. really depends on the rep and such. Sometimes it is better to talk to the owner of the store, as they can come down more than the reps. Good luck, Kirby's really are great. I am not fond of the way they are sold though! Rockfordmom
I'm not 100% sure but I think that we got him down to $800 if I remember correctly, my husband kept telling him that his work was slowing down and the salesman kept calling his boss (or pretending to ) and telling him what nice people we were... and he eventually went down that low. We did not buy it because we already own a Kirby and I LOVE it! My MIL gave it to us and I didn't see why we needed a newer model. I had gone through too many $100 vacuums before that. But I got my walls and baseboards vacuumed in one or two rooms and my carpet cleaned in one room for free and learned how to use all of the tools when he came out :) And negotiate the total cost/selling price not the price per month if you are going to finance through them. jarerice
You can get them down to like 750-800 total price. I agree do not talk about what you pay per month, only total sales price. Tell the kids flat out that it is Christmas and if he wants to make a sale then he has no other choice, but to come off of the price or else he wasted his TIME. Mommyof2
I own a Kirby! I won't tell you what I paid for it, b/c they really got me!! But I can tell you that I absolutely LOVE my Kirby!! We had one while I was growing up and it was awesome. I have The Ultimate G by Kirby. It has tons of attachments including the foaming carpet cleaner. I really love it! Just my 2 cents :)

sweetsali
Kirby's are great. Had one in the past paid about 950 for it. Great product if your looking for a good vaccum cleaner.
