fulkersonm
My brother lives on the west coast and is single. His wants are few and he never suggests anything that he wants for a gift. I can usually come up with a book or cd, but am at a loss this year. Do any of you have any favorite food places that you order from....like Harry & David's, etc. He always welcomes home cooked sweets, but I don't have the time or the inclination to do that this year. I would like to send him something, if I could know that it would be good. Help, please.

shopping mom
If he likes fruit you can get some great oranges or grapefruits shipped from Florida. DH's grandmother sends them to us every year.
hopeky94
If you can't find a food option that you like, how about trying to find something for him that was a favorite of his as a child or teen? You can find a lot of stuff like that on ebay or amazon, but my personal favorite for nostalgia is Vermont Country Store
trbarginhunter
Depending on where on the west coast, I wouldn't send citrus. I'm in So California, we have plenty here!. I'd send Harry and Davids (Costco had a deal at Costco.com) or Omaha Steaks, or gift certificates to national chain restaurants.
Sue-Z-Q
QVC has some really good food. I love the jumbo lump crab cakes.
figarotigger
Cheryls Cookies has free shipping or $ off most Christmas items on their website. The cookies are individually wrapped and freeze well or keep in the fridge if you want to make them last. I live close to where they are made and have sent them to family on occasions. They have brownies available wrapped or by the tray. One of the airlines used to serve their fruit/chocolate bread as part of the breakfast. They have 19 varieties of cookies to choose from for Christmas this year if you want to individualize the assortment. Since your brother likes homemade baked goods-this might be right up his alley. This was huge when i went to college in VA :)
ellen zachariia
I would also check HSN online. They run a great Harry and David special as a value of the day and I know it was a good 20.00 cheaper then ordering direct.
fulkersonm
I haven't checked out QVC or HSN yet, but right now I am leaning toward the cookie deal. That sounds great. I looked at the website and it made my mouth water. Thanks everyone for the wonderful suggestions.
