LyLMyssChaos Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 I have now tried to purchase from multiple TRU "2 day/1 day" sales and NOTHING that I want is available online. I am to the point of wanting to ditch TRU all together! It's like they post the things for sale, to get you looking then say "sorry you can't buy it" and they hope you'll buy something else instead.
conj Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 they don't have the things in the store either... But you won't know that till you drive there..
LyLMyssChaos Posted November 30, 2007 Author Posted November 30, 2007 they don't have the things in the store either... But you won't know that till you drive there..And I am SO not driving there to find out. I've got a broken ankle and I'm not trudging through the snow and ice in a cast. I'll just shop elsewhere...darn TRU!
friholic Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 I was at TRU this morning. First thing. None of the 2 day deals were in stock. I then talked to a manager. She said, "they only put out what is sent on the truck". This hasn't just been happening for the holiday either. Starting back in Sept. when they had buy 2 get 1 free, or B1G1, they wouldn't have most of the stuff. I would be there first thing on Sunday when the ad came out. Nothing. Then the manager said, "call, if we have it will we hold it for 24 hours". So I left, bought nothing, came home called TRU's within 50 miles of my house. 1 TRU had 1 thing I was looking for and I asked them to hold it. I was told "no, we can't hold things, it's Christmas". Ok, why does one say they will hold things but not another. I am about as feed up with TRU as I am Walmart. I think the rest of my holiday spending will be at Target.
AndreaInNC Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Wow ... they sound like K-Mart when they are running their sales. Especially the one day sales on toys that they've been running periodically.
Mugglemom Posted December 6, 2007 Posted December 6, 2007 they don't have the things in the store either... But you won't know that till you drive there.. They dont. And if they do / did, then the maniac shoppers will buy EVERYTHING in the first hour its on sale!
becksters74 Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 i am tired of it, also the prices online are not the same as the store, i found a doll i wanted but... go figure... not available online, then went to the store and it is $30 more expensive and it is not listed as an online sale only. i called and asked what the price of it in store was and they told me $12 so when i got there to fing it was $35 i complained and was told oh too bad the person you talked to didnt know what they were saying. ugh, i am frusterated with them if you cant tell
