Laurieah
Hello, my son is 15 and wants a cell phone. I dont want to spend alot on a regular cell phone plan. I just want him to have one for emergencies or to be able to reach him when he's not home. Thank you, Laurie
regnilc
My kids have a Net 10 phone. The minutes are .10 each & texts .05. The cards are available beginning in $15 denominations (150 minutes). You can save a credit card or bank account to your account and automatically add your prefered denomination before the expirations dates. ($15 cards expire every 30 days) Unused minutes roll over as long as you do not go past your date to refill. My son is 14 and pretty responcible, he has about 700 minutes on his phone now. I explained to him if he is very careful and ONLY uses it in emergencies, and texts me if he just needs to tell me one thing that eventualy he will have enough minutes that he no longer has to be so careful and cautious. I have had no complaints with their service.

Promom
We use At&T. You get deals on text messages, 19.99 for 1000 and no charge to other At&T customers. That way no charge for me to call my son or my daughter. Had it about 3 months and working pretty good. Order refurbished phones on website in case anyone drops it or loses it. Ripn
T-mobile no daily usage fee 10¢/minute $100 card is 1000 minutes...good for 1 year... after you spend $100...any card you add last 1 year, you just pay a higher per minute fee with the cards under $100. alimfp
I have Virgin Mobile. They have LOTS of different plans. I pay $20 every three months and have yet to go over however many minutes I get (though you can't go over, it just cuts you off).
