I will 2nd the buy.com SUX group. I ordered an XBOX 360 from them for the kids christmas. Guess what? Christmas morning the thing would not even power up! Nada nothing. I get in touch with buy.com and since it had been more than 14 days since I ORDERED (not received, ordered) the item, the would not do anything! The suggested I take it up with Microsoft. I ended up having to go out and buy the kids a new 360 because that was all my boys wanted, 360 and halo3. I will NEVER buy from them again.

I have the LIVE settings set to family. They are only suppose to allow access to players who also have settings set to family. They are supposely not allowed to use fowl language. So far, it has been only children playing in the same rooms with the kids. Thanks for the heads up though. The next time he plays, I will wear the headset so I can hear what's going on in there. My son generally BEGS to go to Wal-Marton the 1st Tuesday of the month to pickup his issue. This month I wouldn't take him. Later, he saw they still had a few available, and he towed it all around the store with him with this puppy dog face. I kept telling him I had already spent wayyyy to much money and honestly couldn't afford the mag this month, that he wouldjust have to go without this time. Poor baby. He has no idea, but I tell you, since I told him mom coulnd't afford a $5 mag, he sure hasn't been asking for anything. I think he will be somewhere between thrilled and wanting to beat me up Christmas morning. ha ha

I did the SAME thing for my DS14, What I did was buy the Dec issue, and the got a really cute card for him. I wrote out the card as if it was from Santa and let him know this would be the first of a years worth of the mags.

With dd 6 still believing in Santa, there's no way I am going to leave gifts just lying around to be found. Silly boy! :) I think it is pretty normal, but of course, not encouraged.

Amazon's honestly. If you use site to store, it take literally about 10 days to get to the store, and with Amazon, I am almost 100% sure you would have it probably by the 19th or 20th. I wouldn't trust Wal-Mart this time of year. Amazon is an online retailer, that's what they do. To ship it from Wal-Mart would be sooooo pricey too. I ordered it from Amazon on a Friday and it arrived on Tuesday. :)

I'm so sorry sweetie. My ex was a police officer and I delt with this year after year too. My current husband is in the army and in Iraq this Christmas, so count your blessings. :) I am actually finding loads of ways to get myself all excited about the holidays despite the circumstances. Try to think positive and positive things will happen. Depending on how old your children are, you could have Christmas a day early or late to ensure he will be there. On the year my DH had to work, we got up super early, had our Christmas, went to Waffle House for breakfeast and then I went to my parents for the rest of the day. Just be creative and I am sure you can come up with some ideas. I agree with you though .. IT SUX not having your dh home.

Yep! Sometimes you just have to ask and ask again. That's what happened with a chalkboard I had ordered. Price dropped & I emailed, but by them time they got mt email the price was back up. Ijust kept a close eye on it and the price dropped again even lower that the first drop. Got my PA! YAY! In the last week I think I have gotten about $30 in PA's from Amazon. They have definately won my business. They are so awesome! :)

I prefer email over phone too since it seems these days you can not understand half of customer service reps. lol So far, I have really had no problems at all. I am waiting on some adjustments now.
