thats a really good deal on the cricut. i wasnt able to get one

I got an extra one. Email me and I can see how much shipping would be if you are willing to pay for it. I would be willing to do exact shipping and exact cost. $119 plus 7.75 % sales tax and whatever shipping is

If you really want to delve into the world of digital craft cutters, I would suggest doing the research on the ones that do not need cartridges. The initial cost is more expensive, but you don't have to buy cartridges to get new fonts or shapes.

what are these called and how much are they?

Some of them are:

Xryon Wishblade

Quickutz Silhouette

Pazzles

Craft Robo

Klik n Kut (not sure on spelling)

They retail for between $300-$400+.

Like I said, bigger cost up front, but you are not having to spend a small fortune on cartridges. I own the Silhouette. The Wishblade, Silhouette and Craft Robo are all the same machine, they just use a bit of different software to run them.

You can cut any TTF you have on your computer and all kinds of shapes that you either get for free from online groups or you create yourself. Very easy to run.

I agree. I opted for a QK Silhouette and I LOVE it. I especially love not having to buy cartridges all the time...I just surf the web and collect all the free TT fonts I want. Also, I have been able to create my own designs. Can you weld words with Cricut? I'm not sure, but that's another reason I decided on the Silhouette (same as Wishblade and CraftRobo but a little cheaper).

So you just go find fonts on the internet and then you can use them and cut out what you want with it? I have never heard of these and am very interested if anyone could tell me more about them.

I would love to get this but I don't have time to scrapbook? Where do you all find the time. I wish I was a stay at home mom so I could scrapbook-which I love! Is the cricut really worth the money?

This post makes me laugh! I'm a stay at home mom and I wish I had the time to scrapbook! I want one too!

I'm a SAHM too. I have been for two years now, which is exactly how long it's been since I regularly scrapbooked!
