freesia39
i saw this at michael's and went "WHOA INGENIOUS!" no room for it though right now... my arts and crafts dream room (sewing machine, knitting/crochet corner, scrapbooking table) will have to wait until we have more room and we're married. VTmommy
I picked up one of these as well! I have been waiting to buy one and told myself I could use it before Xmas as long as I used it to make some gifts and/or cards! LOL FYI -- you can choose from several cartridges for a good deal (1 for $40, 2 for $37 each, 3 for $33 each, 4 for $27 each) here:http://www.creativexpress.com/shop/home.php?cat=2199
Steakgoddess
If you really want to delve into the world of digital craft cutters, I would suggest doing the research on the ones that do not need cartridges. The initial cost is more expensive, but you don't have to buy cartridges to get new fonts or shapes.

Steakgoddess
what are these called and how much are they? Some of them are: Xryon WishbladeQuickutz SilhouettePazzlesCraft RoboKlik n Kut (not sure on spelling) They retail for between $300-$400+. Like I said, bigger cost up front, but you are not having to spend a small fortune on cartridges. I own the Silhouette. The Wishblade, Silhouette and Craft Robo are all the same machine, they just use a bit of different software to run them. You can cut any TTF you have on your computer and all kinds of shapes that you either get for free from online groups or you create yourself. Very easy to run. gezzmom70
what are these called and how much are they?I agree. I opted for a QK Silhouette and I LOVE it. I especially love not having to buy cartridges all the time...I just surf the web and collect all the free TT fonts I want. Also, I have been able to create my own designs. Can you weld words with Cricut? I'm not sure, but that's another reason I decided on the Silhouette (same as Wishblade and CraftRobo but a little cheaper). I have never heard of these and am very interested if anyone could tell me more about them.
Steakgoddess
Yes, any font that you find on the internet and there are TONS of free ones, you can cut with those machines. You save them to your computer. Then you open up the Cutter software and pick the font you want (kind of like you do on Word) and then type and adjust size and send it to the cutter.
