Marcster Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Nice article, Dev! Thanks for doing this... I thought it was strange how their first recommended site was blackfriday.com (which is a squatter site).
bigjimslade Posted November 21, 2007 Author Posted November 21, 2007 Nice article, Dev! Thanks for doing this... I thought it was strange how their first recommended site was blackfriday.com (which is a squatter site).I know. I told her that I only used this site. She was very nice about the article and thought she did a great job.
Marcster Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Are you going to let other people use your porta-potty? http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Non-Smiling/explode.gif How much did that cost, by the way?
bigjimslade Posted November 21, 2007 Author Posted November 21, 2007 Are you going to let other people use your porta-potty? http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Non-Smiling/explode.gif How much did that cost, by the way?I think I will :) It cost me around $40.00 to rent. I rented it from a company that supplies stuff like porta-potties to the motion picture community.

The End Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Nice article, Dev! Thanks for doing this... I thought it was strange how their first recommended site was blackfriday.com (which is a squatter site).Pardon my ignorance, but I've never heard the term "squatter site". Could you explain it?
Brad Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Pardon my ignorance, but I've never heard the term "squatter site". Could you explain it?Someone just registered the domain blackfriday.com but never does anything with it. Instead they just put ads on it and hope people will type the address in their address bar looking for legit BF info and end up clicking on their ads. I've made numerous attempts to contact the owner to see if I could buy the domain, but so far I've had no luck. I guarantee I could pay more than they make with those ads on it.
bigjimslade Posted November 21, 2007 Author Posted November 21, 2007 What did you think of the article Brad?
The End Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Ahh, I see. Thanks for clearing that up. I thought it was gonna have something to do with web-sites that steals content from other sites.
Brad Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 What did you think of the article Brad?I saw the article earlier today and just skimmed through it and it didn't even connect that this was the one you were interviewed for. To be honest, it makes you sound a little crazy, lol (kidding ). Seriously, good job and thanks for doing it. Any word if it's going to be a television story on CNBC as well, or just web?

Any word if it's going to be a television story on CNBC as well, or just web?I know some of it makes me sound kinda crazy but if it was not then it would be a normal story. I was told it will be on front page of CNBC starting Wednesday. Thanks for letting me do this story. I had fun with it.

bigjimslade Posted November 21, 2007 Author Posted November 21, 2007 Nice article! Someone brings a big screen tv? Really? How in the world do youw atch it in the middle of a parking lot?Yes they do. They bring a generator and hook up a TV to it. The guy that does it works for Panavision Motion Picture Company so he gets one from there that they use to light movie sets. I can just see you saying: "Have a dump on me!" http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Mil-Laughter/lmaosmiley.gifI am making the signs now!

I will take one before I go. My Girlfriend did ask me this morning if she thought the Indian couple that did have sex in line last year was going to be there. They might need a shower!
