missyjane Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 If you don't want to mess with the lines and mobs on Black Friday Dell has the TomTom One 3rd edition on sale for $149 right now: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Auto_Vehicle_GPS/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&cs=19&sku=A1302634 I think there might be free shipping as well?
missyjane Posted November 20, 2007 Author Posted November 20, 2007 This is what I paid for it at Staples B&M this week. It's a personal preference whether it's worth waiting in line for to say on Black Friday at Staples. Otherwise, it's not a bad price considering regular price is $249, IMHO.
deelite Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Yeah missyjane is right. For the folks that are not going to be fighting the elements or crowds this BF. It would be up to them if they thought it was a good deal. I myself will be camping outside BB anyways so I might as well grab one there. BF HERE I COME!!!!
missyjane Posted November 20, 2007 Author Posted November 20, 2007 It's gone... dabnabit.... I just checked, it's still available at the sale price.
missyjane Posted November 20, 2007 Author Posted November 20, 2007 Does anyone have an opinion on this deal?Hey, this deal made front page of gottadeal!
brucechase Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 The Dell website says this has bluetooth, but no other ONE 3rd edition has bluetooth. Either Dell has a mistake or there is a very special TOMTOM ONE 3rd Edition with bluetooth only availble at Dell. If that is the case, this is an awesome price.

Iluvblkfriday2 Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 I just checked, it's still available at the sale price. It must have been my computer that was acting up. Thanks, I got it!

Marcster Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 What does bluetooth add to a GPS?It would allow you to connect to your Bluetooth enabled cell phone to be used as a hands-free calling device (vs. a headset).
krissy72 Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I don't know much about GPS's.... Is there a monthly fee that goes along with this?
missyjane Posted November 21, 2007 Author Posted November 21, 2007 I don't know much about GPS's.... Is there a monthly fee that goes along with this? No, not just to use it. There is a fee for the "traffic" feature on this item, but the TomTom comes with free map updates, just plug it in and go.

diznut Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Buy.com is now offering this for $124.95 AFTER you submit the $100 rebate...Check it out http://www.buy.com/prod/tomtom-one-3rd-edition-portable-gps-system-w-preloaded-maps/q/loc/101/205617006.html No lines, great price. That is if you don't mind doing rebates...
missyjane Posted November 21, 2007 Author Posted November 21, 2007 Crutchfield also has it for $149 instantly - no messing with rebateshttp://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?search=TomTom+VENDORID625&searchdisplay=TomTom&i=625ONEIII Can you use the $20 off $100 code for this to bring it to $129?Code: 3A706 Nope, tried it, it won't let you add another offer because one offer has already been added which is the $100 instant rebate.
bitWrangler Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Amazon now has it for $129 with free shipping! Also, even if he Dell unit has "Bluetooth", it doesn't mean that it supports the "handsfree" profile. If you look at the description for the Tom Tom XL-S, it has bluetooth, but it looks like it's only used as an alternative to the usb cable (i.e. you can use it to sync/update, but not as a handsfree since the unit does not have a microphone).
shockwave78 Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 do you have to subscribe to anything with these gps units or do they connect by themselves free of charge? I have no need for one really but for $129

d56nut Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Thanks for posting this. Was going to stand in line on BF but this was the only item I was after. Totally worth it for 149.00 to not have to stand in line. This was the exact unit I was looking for! Michelle

I have no need for one really but for $129 Only charge for a TomTom would be if you wanted the optional traffic service. Otherwise, there is no ongoing fee besides the initial cost of the unit.
sadmom5 Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Is this VERY user friendly- my dh always needs directions- but is completely unable to figure things out!
