156 KB Toys Stores nationwide to close

The Washington Post just posted this article, which sites an internal memo revealing that KB Toys plans to hand over 156 stores nationwide to a liquidator this Thursday. KB has fewer than 600 stores remaining, so this is a good chunk of stores around the country. The article only lists the 6 stores in the Washington, DC area that are set to close, but this could be a good opportunity for some early Christmas shopping. Anyone else heard anything?

If you go to their website, it lists the name of the locations closing. I can remember, Fair Oaks and Manassas. I think I may need to stop by. :)

The one in the outlet mall by me is staying open, but the one in Gainesville is closing. No surprise there.

I found mine by searching my zip in the store locater. It showed all of the stores around me that were closing.

The store close to me is closing. I noticed yellow sales signs hanging in the store and on the windows when I was in the mall last week. I will have to check it out this weekend.

KB Stores seems to be hanging on by a thread these days. It wouldn't surprise me if they are all gone soon.

10% off almost everything in the store mear us that is closing...some things had a little more off.

luckily none by me are closing. they have the most affordable toys normally. the few that are closing in az are so far from me that i don't even feel a ripple.
