Hi everyone,

I live in Pittsburgh and am wondering a bit about this BF's items. I have my eye on a few items items:

1.) The 22" LCD (The 200 or 150 one)... my BB should have 35 of each of these...

2.) EDIT: I don't need a desktop considering I just ordered a Dell model better then the Compaq or Sony for $450, and to me, $50 is better then carrying around a desktop on BF.

3.) EDIT: A friend will be getting the GPS at another store.

Therefore, the LCD is the only thing left on my list, and the only thing for me!

Anyway, I know this has been posted 10,000 times before, although I called all of my local stores and got tons of answers ranging from 4 PM to 3 AM to line up.

I'm thinking about getting there at 11:00 PM, would that be okay to get that item?

Also, would it be more wise to go to Target, considering it would be less crowed and have a higher stock?

um, in Santa Rosa, a town of 158,000 people, at 9pm black friday 2006, there were a couple hundred people in line.......... I would say 6pm.

Well the part of town were I live at isn't that crowed and is mainly of old people lol (last year the line didn't wrap around the building until 2:30 - 3:00).

I think you would have to be crazy to get in line 4 pm the day before, how much are you saving and how much is your time worth?

I show up at 5:00 and take my chances, but no way I am waiting 13 hours to save a couple of hundred bucks.

One of my favorite things to do is sit on the couch on Thanks Giving day, not waiting in line. Just my 2 cents

10 AM:yuck: Sorry, however, there is no way I could wait over 7 hours there. Would I still stand a chance of getting anything on my list if I didn't get out that early?

everything HIGHLY depends on the area you live in. in the larger cities or if you have only one best buy in a 100 mile radius and no other electronics store, the line will probably be long. if you want the cheap cheap items, you're going to have to brave the line.

that's why i suggested doing the drive by, or if you have bored teenagers in the house and nothing else for them to do... have them do the drive bys and call you when the line starts getting scary long.

I have about 5 BB's and 3 CC's in my area. I ordered a computer from Dell (ECODE: 11777-DDPSGB1) that is better then the Compaq and only $50 more, so my dad will like that and I won't have to carry out a heavy desktop. As for the GPS, there are a few better deals elsewhere a friend will go pick it up there for me. I also have a brother in another city who will pick up a Sony as another Christmas Gift for me to give away (My Toshiba much is better regardless if I wanted to keep it). So, really, the last thing on my list is the 22" LCD screen for my Desktop (The only thing for me;)). I have looked at a few and I simply just want to get one while getting up the latest, regardless of the location, store, or model.

I was looking at the Target one which is the BB model last year for $30 less, would that be more easy then to take my chances with BB?
