RCWC Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 wow, lot of typing there Brad, 9 pages... thx rcwc
bayhaysay Posted November 9, 2007 Posted November 9, 2007 Thank you Brad! I've been looking forward to this one. :)
jlouie Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Wow, 4AM, JC Penney's wins for earliest bf opening
pogiporkchop Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 If JC Penney hadn't lost my business years ago for giving me horrid customer service I would so be there... they always have outstanding deals.
chefswife Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 4 am????? Guess I'll have to rethink my typical traffic pattern! hmmm....
immortaljackwest Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Wow, may have to change plan and head to JCPenny... I can't wait to add the scan to my potentials
Gurnee Al Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 4am is crazy!! Prices here don't seem to be any better than Kohl's better sales during the year.
Marcster Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 4am opening this year?? Wow!Early store gets the cash, I guess. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Goodnight/yawn.gif Our local JCP became a JCP Outlet about 4 years ago, so no JCP shopping for me (on BF at least).
firstladyberg Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 4 am, Between JC Penneys and Kohl's no sleep at all after that big turkey dinner! What will it be next- Opening at 3am? I think it would be better if BB and CC would open doors at 3am, after all that is where all the people seem to be camped out. Who really camps out in front of Kohl's or JC Penneys? NO ONE!
Melissa Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Are the scans of the JCPenney ad available? I'm only seeing the list.
peifgirl Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 thanks brad are you going to be putting up the ad scan too?
Dramatic1 Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 How does every site have the JC Penney list but no one has the ad scans yet! I even tried looking up some products on the JC Penney site to see the pictures (I'm a visual person, what can I say (especially when it comes to diamonds!)) and I had no luck. *Starts a cheer for the JC Penney ad scan*
mrodgers169 Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 Ohhh looks like some good deals! Can't wait for the AD Scans!!!
rn199 Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 Do you think these will be good online? I want to get both of my girls new bedspreads and sheets for christmas. They have the ones I want in the catalog but not at either store in my area.
bsutton1 Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 I'm glad to see they have 35% off of their watches. I'm still holding out for Kohls and Belks and hope they have better watch sales.
Guest Macrossmaster Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 WOW. 9 pages typed, MASSIVE 50-60% off in tons of categories. A strong showing – if only they carried electronics, this would be the "Death Star" of BF ads thus far, especially after a relatively disappointing Best Buy showing.
Guest Mom1979 Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 Brad you do an enormous amount of work for us, thank you so much for this. YOU ROCK!!
ldyinlve Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 I know all of you get excited about the 4:00 AM opening, but the people inside who are working are not. we don't get to enjoy are Thanksgiving day holiday with our family. We have to eat our dinner early, send everyone home early, or leave the family gathering early and be in bed by 8:00, to be able to get up around 1:00 to get ready for work. All the shopping can be done at normal hours with the same merchandise, and people would't be in a mad rush to get in and out so they can hit every store at opening time before the sun rises. Think about it! We have families too.

Think about it! We have families too.It is sad that people don't get to spend time at home with their families during the day after Thanksgiving. But if the stores would just open at normal times that could happen, but as an incentive for the store to make a lot of money they openas long as they can - supply and demand. Some employee of JCP should voice theirdispleasure with it, maybe if more people did that they would change it. There were many years where my mother had to work on Thanksgiving with the hospital. Christmases as well. We just have to adjust our happy time. Sorry again that you'll be stuck at work. I feel bad for most retail people that dayand weekend. So Many Customers!!!

Think about it! We have families too.I feel your pain...sort of. I used to work in the restaurant business, hated working holidays. Thought, if I didnt have to be here, no way would would I be celebratingin a restaurant! I'd have hoildays at home....so that made me rethink my careerchoice. Retailers dont have a volunteer list?

Perhaps, it may be time for you to perhaps try working at a store that opens at a more reasonable hr during the holidays.
