I don't know if this is the place to post this but....

 

I just read on Foxnews.com that AquaDots have been recalled for containing the date rape drug GHB. My sister had been "threatening" to buy these for my daughter for Christmas because she knew they'd make a mess.

 

Just thought I'd pass along the information.

I'm not sure where to post this but I know I have seen several post about the popular Aqua Dots. Go to cnn.com for the full story. Aqua dots are being recalled and "The two U.S. children who swallowed Aqua Dot beads went into nonresponsive comas, commission spokesman Scott Wolfson said Wednesday afternoon."

I've already bought it Good thing Walmart takes anything back... She is only 6 and I have a 4yr old and 2- 18 month boys around the house!!! Can you imagine!!! What next with these recalls?

wow...I am a CANADIAN ..and we just got back from the USA (shopping) where we picked these up! I am not sure how I am going to return them...hmmm...this is horrible.

this is terrible. my DD had them on her christmas list but there is no way that I am going to buy them for her. I am worried about her putting them in her mouth but i am more worried about my 11mo DS....... he eats and put ANYTHING in his mouth!

Thanks for the post. My 11 and 6 year olds bought these a couple of weeks ago, and I have a 7 month old in the house! We are gathering all of them up right now. Does anyone know if they are offering a refund or anything, or do we just throw them out?

I just called my mom as she bought Aqua dots for my daughter for christmas this year. Thankfully she just bought it a few days ago and has her receipt.

 

heck, I bet this would be deadly for pets too! I have 3 dogs (two are 12lbs and under), I bet injested it could be harmful also

DD7 wanted these, but I had not encouraged it when she brought it up. After three kids, I couldn't stand the thought of the mess these things might make. Now, I have another reason not to get them.

On my local news, it said that these were recalled on Friday. I'm wondering why we didn't hear about it until today! You would think this would have been headline news on Friday!

I'm so glad I didn't get these. All three of my kids wanted them-dd9,ds7,dd6! But I thought what a mess they would be all over the wood floors! I know alot of people who have purchased this for their kids for x-mas and I'm passing the word along.

I got this toy at Kmart on Saturday. It was one of the toys that you could use the 50% off coupon on. If they were recalled on Friday, I wonder why they were still on the shelf? Do you just take them back to the store? Or do you have to send them somewhere?

The Fox news link at the beginning of this thread says that the recall was today, so maybe the report that I heard about Friday was wrong. I hope so!

well I just tried the number and it comes up busy and then I tried there website and that site is GONE!

 

So now I sit with this thing wondering what next.

I guess they don't have a set up were it says your hold time is...2 hours

 

guess I better just keep trying
