madiemae06 Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 Where can I find a really nice/quality play kitchen for my daughter?
gymbolover Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 Pottery Barn Kids Have Some Really Nice Kitchen Sets, I Just Ordered The Pbk Pink Classic Set For My Daughter For Xmas, They Only Downside Is They Are $$$
AcLaramie Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 They have a pretty decent one at Walmart for $39. I saw it tonight and if I wasn't in a big hurry I would have bought it for DD for Christmas. That is a good deal.

That is a good deal.If it's the Homestyle kitchen, it's not good quality at all. It's a very cheaply made kitchen. To the OP, if you are looking for a qualtiy kitchen, I would stick to a name brand like Little Tikes or Step 2.

It's perfect for a 3 year old, it did take about 2 hours to put together, but she doesn't know (or care) about the difference in this or the $100 one. She loves hers!
nnmfam Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Trust me keep it under a 100.00 . I have a 5 year odl and we spent 180.00 for teh kitchen she wanted 2 yeas ago and guess ehat it was a dust collector in less then a year. I would spend more if it was my first child and I knew I was having more kids but for one kid keep it low. I have to find a home for this kitchen at church I posted a sign hopefully someeone will come take it. If shipping was cheap I would give it to you

civicracinggirl7 Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 I'd also say to steer clear of the WM one. We had gotten my niece one a couple of years ago. I had the job of assembling it, which was a hassle as the pieces were so thin that they bent in the box, and I had to try to re-shape them while putting them together. It was a good price, but there is absolutely no longevity in that one. A few months later, my sister picked her up one of the Little Tikes ones when it was on sale at TRU. Cost more than the WM, but it's the way to go as it can withstand years of abuse at the hands of little ones! If there are any yard sales still going on, you may want to check as you might find one for a steal :)
nat1jen Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 I saw several Little Tykes kitchens at Marshall's for $39.99. They looked like a great deal. I bet you might also find them at TJ Maxx since Marshall's and TJ Maxx are owned by the same company.
Penelope Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 My friend got a really nice play kitchen off of craigslist. She paid $80, and the seller threw in all the food and pots and pans. Also, I have seen Sam's Club and Costco have play kitchens as it gets closer to Christmas.
my2aboys Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 We have this Little Tykes kitchen http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2781936 My 3 kids really like it (ages 5, 3, & 2). We haven't had it very long but it seems nice and sturdy. And the kids like the food ... you can cut it in half and cook it.
nirvana4all Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 I got the Little tikes cook interactive kitchen at TRU, used the $10 off $100 (bought it and another food kit that works with it), the $10 giftcard on over $75 and the 10% off if you get a new TRU credit card. The kitchen itself was $89 before any other savings in the Big Book and so in all it was really pretty cheap and I still have a $10 TRU gift card that I just spent.
momof5kiddos Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 I have a little tykes one that ihave had for 10 years through a daycare and 5 of my 6 kids so far. and it still is perfect and lookes great. of course its been inside for play only. You really can't hurt them
jbrawn26 Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 walmart online has a nice kidkraft one for 137 and change that you can get site to store shipping on and it's wooden. It's hit or miss on having it in stock though so I'd check a couple times a day.
