msl94 Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 Has anyone been to any of the Under Armour outlets? By the first week of November, there will be one opening near me at the Jackson Outlets and another in the new Philadelphia Outlet center. I am curious as to what kind of merchandise is sold at these stores and at what prices. Thanks! Matt
noaimhere Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 I have yet to find anything worth buying at a lower price than any store that carries their stuff.. good luck.
xfountaingrl Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 There is an UnderArmour outlet near me and I dont really find anything great there. The prices are not much lower and not worth the drive. I do remember them having some good deals on kids stuff, but other than that, its nothing to write home about.
Penelope Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 I found some of their stuff at Marshalls a year or two ago, and it was about half the retail price. A lot of companies seem to have copied their product line, but I am not sure how the copies compare to the originals.
purplepenguin Posted October 16, 2007 Posted October 16, 2007 There's one in Kenosha Wisconsin at the outlet mall, never any deals.
Cemea Posted October 17, 2007 Posted October 17, 2007 Under Armour is overrated!! Other similar sportswear companies have better quality products without the high prices. As the previous post stated you can find UA items elsewhere at lower prices. If it is not a short drive, it definately won't be worth the drive.
steph1 Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 I've also been to an Under Armour outlet --- still WAAAYYYY expensive!! I have found under armour at the goodwill! Now we get the WM brand and haven't had any complaints from the kids. Steph
joenkims Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 I know a lot of you seem to be in central, east and south US but here in the west Big 5 Sporting Goods carries Under Armour if you are looking for it. They occassionally put it on sale ($5 off probably). They also carry alternative brands of the same type of apparel. Worth checking out if you have a store in your area. They have a website but it's info only, not for shopping.
Aaron Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 I've been to the one in Destin, FL and it was just like a big store with normal prices.
krolyat Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 I've been to the one in Rehobeth, DE at the Prime outlets...nothing spectacular.
leefamily23 Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Wow- I got excited- not realizing there was an Underarmor outlet- but seeing that the prices are still as high--not so excited. My son loves their items- and usually only gets a few a year because the cost is just outrageous.
tntsmomie Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 We have one near us...while I LOVE their sports bras, I find them cheaper at other stores. The outlets don't have a wide selection, and unless you catch a good sale - which is rare there - the prices are way to high for an "outlet." www.underarmor.com is the website for the brand. Not sure if there's a specific one for the outlets.
msl94 Posted October 19, 2007 Author Posted October 19, 2007 I did not see a website specifically for the outlet stores. Unless they participate in any of the sales in which the entire outlet center is involved (BF Midnight Madness for example), I guess I would be wasting my time there. What I found interesting (and irritating) is that Dick's Sporting Goods will not honor a $10 off $75 coupon if used on any Under Armour merchandise. Maybe I'm better off buying on eBay?
