wx4svr Posted September 22, 2007 Posted September 22, 2007 Does anyone know the chances of having a projector for BF? I'm thinking about getting one for my room as a monitor and then later, turning my room into a theater.

I figured that's what every one would say I've went back and looked at the older ads and have found nothing so far. It's really starting to make me . Enough said,

BB and others are getting away from tube TVs and getting into digital.
maep2000 Posted September 23, 2007 Posted September 23, 2007 last year i bought one for 399.00 on BestBuy. You can check the last year ad...
wx4svr Posted September 23, 2007 Author Posted September 23, 2007 last year i bought one for 399.00 on BestBuy. You can check the last year ad...How did that go? Was it a door buster or just a good deal day-long. How's the quality? Am I asking too many questions?
maep2000 Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 1200 ansi lumens, all day special but there was only 4 in the store. 3 minutes to sell them.

I'm good @ computers, not projectors. :) Anyway, do you mean that the store only had 4 of them and it only took 3 minutes to sell them ALL? Holy Crap! That's nuts ! Did you still wait outside or did you go in a little later for it?
Deviant5ouL Posted September 24, 2007 Posted September 24, 2007 There was a projector on sale at Best Buy last year. There were 20-30 of them in stock at the Best Buy that I went to. So yeah, just look out for them when the ads come out.
GregAshlin Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Business projectors are more likely than home theatre projectors. If you look at what BB offers for HT projectors, there's really not much there. You can use a business projector for home theatre, but it's not going to look as good...just depends on how picky you are. Stock on projectors is normally pretty limited...if you've got a small BB, you'll be lucky if they have 3. If it's a giant BB (in Mineapolis, Dallas, Chicago, NYC, etc) they may have more on hand...but don't bank on it.
wx4svr Posted September 26, 2007 Author Posted September 26, 2007 My BB is a larger one... first one to open in Louisville at the time. Now there's 4. So really, if I can't get one there, there is always the other 3. ...hopefully...
ohdes Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 I bought 1 last year for the church. Our small BB had 20 or so projectors when I got into the store, (arrived about 6:30a.m. was back a ways in line).
wx4svr Posted September 29, 2007 Author Posted September 29, 2007 So your in a smaller town? I would think that BB would have quite a few since Louisville is the 16th largest city in the USA. Dosen't seem like much, but Louisville is VERY over-populated!
lmitchem Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 2 years ago I got one from Staples for dh on black friday. I believe it was refurbished and we got a great deal...its still going strong today and we use it everyday in a theater room. Last year Staples had a good deal on a projector too so be sure and check out Staples. You won't regret getting one. We love it! Lisa

I never even really thought about the office stores except Office Depot. I'll have to check it out. What price did you get it at, if you don't mind me asking, ?
StealthTM Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 I think I'm going for one this year, I'm actually on the fence with either a DLP or a Projector. Last year I got the 32in Westy and I love it, I just need something bigger for movies. I'm hoping bestbuy is the place to be this year.

As such the colors will be crisper and the whites brighter and the blacks darker. HTH
Coolpplse Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 I guess there are no good deals on projectors this year for 2007 Black Friday at Best Buy...
