epfegn Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Anybody know how this would compare to say a Garmin nuvi 350. Price seems good but never heard of the mfr.
Guest spectraflamed Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 It is an excellent unit but has old maps/database. Also it is easy to hack if you are into that kind of thing.
epfegn Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 Thanks. I noticed that this unit doesn't give you the option to choose "shortest distance" or "fastest route" when picking a route. Is that a big deal?
mrcanslim Posted January 25, 2007 Posted January 25, 2007 It's a fantastic unit. You can choose Fastest, Shortest, No Tolls, various vehicle typre (for access to different roads if you have a truck), pedestrian (for use in cities it ignores one ways). The maps and points of interest (over 2,000,000) I've found to be very up to date. Loaded with all 50 states. The size of an ipod...makes for easy carrying from vehicle to vehicle. I love mine!
