tiffbiles Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 This week at the Hobby Lobby in my city the Christmas trees and ornaments are half off. I got a nice three foot tree for my daughters' room, regularly priced $20, on sale for $10, and half off made it $5! After buying dozens of 1/2 off ornaments for it, it was still less than $10total.
rldelo Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 I was in our HL on Monday, and the place is cleaned out. There were only 3 display trees left--none in boxes or anything. All of the alpine trees were long gone, I couldn't believe it. The ornaments have been consolidated to one aisle, and they had them one/hook, just to fill up the space. If you're looking for something, I'd get moving--because if your store looks like our local location, there's not much left to be had!
kselzer Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 I was just in there last night and OMG the amazing deals. I had 3 bags full of stuff for about $25. The store I went to still had plenty of items available, and there were clerks on a couple aisles putting more stuff out! So I guess it's hit or miss with the stores. Christmas crafts were 50% off which included scrapbooking kits, card kits, and the Christmas Stack! Scrapbooking paper was also all 50% off. I got a gingerbread man outside sign for $4.50. The only thing I bought not on sale was a Gingerbread man cookie cutter - but I needed it so oh well :)
madi5 Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 I was just at our HL and they had tons or ornaments, trees and other stuff last. I cleaned up!!! Thanks for the post
kselzer Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Okay slightly off-topic, but I just received this email and since we're talking about Hobby Lobby...a bunch of their Christmas lights have been recalled according to the email I received: Important Safety Notice December 2006 Dear Hobby Lobby Customer: On behalf of Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., I want to assure you that product safety is our highest priority. For that reason, I wanted to let you know that we recently learned about a problem with approximately 2.3 million Christmas lights that were sold at our stores from June 2006 through December 9, 2006. In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Hobby Lobby is voluntarily recalling these Christmas light sets manufactured in China and sold under the Hobby Lobby brand. The lights have undersized wires which can separate from the plugs and/or the light sockets, posing an electric shock and fire hazard to consumers. CPSC has received one report of a minor shock when a consumer touched a light string. Hobby Lobby has received one report of melting wires. The recall includes all Hobby Lobby brand 100 Count Indoor/Outdoor Super Bright Mini Light Sets (all colors); 50 Count Classic Colors Indoor Super Bright Mini Light Sets (all colors); 150 Count Indoor/Outdoor Ribbon Style Net Light Sets (all colors); 100 Count Outdoor/Indoor Miniature Trunk Net Lights Sets (all colors) and 300 Count Indoor/Outdoor Hang-Straight Icicle Light Sets (all colors). The lights were sold at Hobby Lobby Stores nationwide from June 2006 through December 9, 2006 for about $2.00 to $10.00. A complete description of the Christmas lights being recalled appears below. For your safety, if you have any of the recalled Christmas lights please stop using them immediately and return them to the nearest Hobby Lobby store for a Hobby Lobby Exchange Card. All of us at Hobby Lobby want to thank you for your continued support and loyalty, and we apologize for any inconvenience resulting from our recall. The safety of our customers is our overriding concern. It is your trust in Hobby Lobby that has made our company the success it is today. We look forward to building on that trust now and in the future. If you have any further questions, please visit our Web site at www.HobbyLobby.com or visit your nearest Hobby Lobby store.
