I-pod Question

Is the free shipping and free engraving available all the time or is it just for the holidays? DD wants an I-pod, but I'm going to get it for her b-day (3rd week in January). If the deal is only thru Christmas, I'll get it now and hide it till then. If it's offered all the time, I'll hold on to my $$ until after Christmas.

If I remember right, I think engraving is always free... but shipping usually costs... Though I'm not sure how much.

Apple store always has free engraving. not free shipping but it is pretty reasonabe

or you can go through macmall.com which almost always has free shipping, the same or better prices than apple.com and free accessories (FM transmiter, etc).

 

I do believe Apple has free shipping for over 50$ most of the time.

Thanks for the help. DD just started asking for the I-pod. She's already getting a Nintendo DS Lite from Santa. As I said, w/ her b-day 3 weeks after Christmas, an I-pod for Christmas is pushing it. Since I'm newly single, I've got to watch my $$ even more closely.

you can keep an eye out for the refurbs on Apple's site.

Refurbs are great. Got one about 1 year ago! No engraving though I believe.
