OFFICE MAX BLACK FRIDAY on line deals NOT FULFILLED!

Recommended Posts

Their response today from the executive offices was that they were still looking for stock for me. They could not pull store stock because their computer system does not allow them to do that.

When I asked about a substitution or raincheck I was told they do not give any.

End result is the complaint is going out to the AG's office and let them deal with the complaint , if we do not report this , nothing will be done and they will continue to screw people over and over.

Thought you all might enjoy an excerpt (below) from their "about us" section from their website in their code of ethics. I can not post a link yet, but you can find it if you want. I also sent an e-mail to their media relations contact tonight and stated I am not a victim of this, but they have lost me as a customer through word of mouth and they will lose many more. This is terrible and I feel for you all!

All dealings with customers and potential customers must be fair and aboveboard. OfficeMax acquires and maintains business because of the high quality of its products and services and because of its competitive prices.

OfficeMax will not condone, under any conditions, the offering or payment of "kickbacks," "under-the-table" payments, illegal rebates or other similarly improper or inappropriate payments to actual or potential customers or their representatives in exchange for business. All sales to customers must be based upon price, terms, type of service, customer service to be provided to the account, and similar relevant and lawful factors.

The use of false or misleading statements to customers, made in an effort to market OfficeMax products and services, is strictly prohibited. Customers must receive accurate and unambiguous information regarding pricing, capabilities, scheduling, and the like.

I called about the flash drives, too - they were the EXACT SAME THING as the ones on sale this week for $19.99. She argued with me & argued with me - I talked to 3 different managers on Sunday & none of them could do proce overrides. Amazingly though, my order shipped on Monday after I was told that they would be cancelled & I told them that they would hear from my attorney (not that I would really spend money on something like this, but my best friend works in an attorney's office & would give them hell if I asked!)

It would NOT have been so bad had they not had the EXACT SAME THING in-stock & just not wanting to send me mine!!!!!!!

I do like an earlier member said and took my printed out order from Officemax.com to my local store. They had the 2GB sd cards in stock. I explained to the assistant manager what happened and he said "Its no your fault." And promptly sold me the cards at the $24.98 price. His name is Corey at the Easton Officemax in Columbus, Ohio! Had no ptoblem at all but you have to tell them it was a Black Friday order because they can't find the cards online to confirm the past price.

Just wanted to say I did the exact same thing. I took the email into the store and the store manager, Mike B, at the North Aurora, Illinois location, matched the price without any hassle. He checked the delivery center and said that they were showing "0" quanitity of the 2 GB sd cards. He just said - well we are the same company. Gotta say I got really great customer service at this location.

Man sounds like my nightmares with Office Depot. I have had great sucess with Staples. It seems these places pick randomly on who they will help and who they blow off.
