cofeature Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 If you type "Closeout" in the Search bar you come up with some pretty good deals in all of their departments. I think I'll go searching and see what I can come with!

Southern4sure Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 I see the set for $4.99 but when I add it to my cart it becomes $7.99. Anyone else experiencing this?
jess139 Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 same thing is happening to me too....errr.... i really want this.
cmattison Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Mine shows 7.99 in the cart. Lots of other items are actually out of stock when you try to add them to your cart ...
Southern4sure Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Why did JCPenny charge my account with three transactions when I only placed 1 order. Two transactions for $1.00 and 1 transaction for the actual purchase. Anyone else have this done to their account?
RubyRed5 Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 I can't get it to say $4.99 in My "Bag". Keeps saying 7.99 like you others have experienced. I smell something's up. Not going to go through with it. Thanks anyway! If any of you get it to say $4.99, please let us know how you did it! :)
jeninpa Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Why did JCPenny charge my account with three transactions when I only placed 1 order. Two transactions for $1.00 and 1 transaction for the actual purchase. Anyone else have this done to their account? ALOT of credit cards will show a $1.00 transaction which is just an initial charge to make sure your card "works". It should disappear within 1-3 days. It happens all the time with my paypal card, lol. Nothing to worry about but I know it freaked me out when it 1st happened to me,lol.

Southern4sure Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 I called customer service and they told me to call after 7:00am cst and someone will adjust the price for me to show 4.99. The number I dialed is 1-800-322-1189 Thank you, I called JCPenny this morning and explained what is happening once you put the item in your cart. They verified it and had no answer as to why but they did credit my account. Thanks cdavis for the phone number.
cdavis Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Just looked on line and the price now says 7.99. When I called the number she didnt believe but I kept complaining and she credited the account.
cdavis Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 I also wanted to order the matching steak knives for 9.99 but they have dissapeared from the website, maybe they sold out? Does anyone have an item number? The lady I spoke with couldnt find them either.
cdavis Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Never mind I see the above post that included the link for the steak knives and it says: This selection is temporarily unavailable. Please try another. We apologize for the inconvenience. Bummer
