I am trying to travel to new york for the holidays:

I am not set on a particular date, but want to spend 2 weeks there (including christmas)

Are there any deals out there lower than @225 (as per sidestep.com)?

or am I asking to much for this time of the year

Where are you traveling from?

Are there other airports close by you would consider leaving from? And are there other airports in the NYC area you would consider traveling to?

What is the earliest and latest date you would go to NYC?

What is the earliest and latest date you need to return?

Traveling from Dallas Texas, I would consider leaving from Houston airport if it was cheaper

Laguardia is the closest, but I could always get off at JFK

The earliest date I could leave is the 14th- that weekend

The latest date I could return is the 29th

THANK YOU!

I think bigjimslade found the best deal. I see a 8AM departure on Dec. 16 and a 10:05 AM return on Dec. 29 on Southwest (Love Field - LaGuardia) for $184. That will be very tough to beat at that time of year. The departure date has some flexibility but the return flight is only available on the 29th (for the $184 round-trip fare), so don't delay.

Sorry I don't see that any Southwest flight from Hobby or Dallas to LaGuardia or JFK at all. Just Long Island! Have you tried Jet Blue? We love them. True Blue converts. They fly Hobby to JFK, 3 flights a day. Hobby to JFK the 14th15th16th 79.00 then on the 28th and the 29th they have the return flight for 117.00 Total 196.00 not sure if thats worth it to travel but its a little cheaper and their planes are great.
