I saw that staples has a really good price on a 60 pack of blank DVD's but unfortunately I have to work on BF and I don't have a staples close to where I live so I'd be cutting it close. Did anyone see any other good deals on blank DVD's?

I actually like the Thursday sale at Kmart. Fujifilm 50 pack for 4.99. No rebates and not as many people. I have to have fujifilm due to my OCD and having to have a line to write the titles directly on the DVD.

100pak dvd-r @ bestbuy = $4.99 (no rebates)

The only problem with best buy is at our local BB they start lining up around 8:00 Thanksgiving night. Nothing could make get in line that early. It seems like every year the crowds get to BB earlier. I remember a few years ago it was midnight when they started arriving and last year it was 8:00. I only know because the local news covers it every year.

I bought the circuit city deal and did pick up at store. I rushed over there as they have that 24 minute guarantee. LOL. As soon as I went in to the store it was there on the table.

Circuit City as a 50 pack of TDX 16X for only $10.99. I bought a pack instead of dealing with the stores on BF. Regular price is $39.99!!!!!!

You made the right decision.

Most of the DVDs on sale on black Friday are the cheap store brand. Those DVDs are usually made with inferior materials resulting in a high ratio of bad burns. Another problem with those DVDs which isn’t as readily apparent as discs simply failing to burn, is that on the discs that do burn, there are issues with reflectivity and/or multiple errors on the disc. That can cause undue strain on the DVD reading laser. Which will shorten the lifespan of the DVD drive or DVD player that you use to play the discs.

Stay away from the Cheap store brands such as - Teon, Dynex, Playo ect. Also, Memorex has a very bad rep.

Brands that are pretty good - Verbatim, Sony, TDK, & Fuji.

I learned my lesson in previous years. Got a 100 pack one time on BF and nearly half didn't burn my movies. Thats why when I saw that deal, I jumped on it. Name brand, 16x speed, and price. So worth going to Circuit City now instead of BF.

That is very good to know. Thanks for the advice. Do you know if Fuji and TDK are equal in quality?
