vvo83 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 Hi everyone, Just wanted to point out that staples is having a 7 day online only sales event and that they have some good deals. The one that stood out was the High Black Leather Manager chair and the 17" LCD by Norcent. It appears that these combine instant savings, rebates, and coupons. THanks http://www.staples.com/products/SpotLights/041128/7dayevent/Default.asp ROss is that your real picture? im just curious

freesia39 Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 anyone have any reviews on that norcent? i just built a new pc and want to set up the second so my bf can terrorize it at will. if it's decent, i'll consider it for my PC or else leave it for the second one since it has built in speakers
RossMAN Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 vvo83, no this isn't my real picture (I wish - I'd be a millionaire!) It's from the movie "Office Space" I highly recommend you rent it :)
vvo83 Posted November 30, 2004 Author Posted November 30, 2004 i actually watch alot of moviess , can't believe I dind't see Office Space I will rent it a HOllywood Videos tomorrow
RossMAN Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 It's well worth a rental and even worthy of owning on DVD, it's a hilarious movie.
samcasey Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 Freesia, I own a unit of that Norcent 17" LCD. I bought it less than a year ago and spent about $275 during a regular sale from Staples. I later found out that Staples BF'd it last year for $200. My unit had a dead pixel on arrival, but I didn't return it since I just built a system and needed a monitor. Also, other aspects of this monitor seem OK. It's much brighter than a Samsung 17" LCD I have, and the colors seem rich. Other than that dead pixel, I don't like the uneven grayness of the black screen when a screensaver is on. The edges look birghter than the center. For $200, I think the quality is passable. If you are pickier about quality and don't mind spend a little more, I'd suggest you get a better name brand. The speakers are not worth anything.
vvo83 Posted November 30, 2004 Author Posted November 30, 2004 Freesia, You may want to look at the LCD available at www.ecost.com. They have some 15"-19" at pretty fair prices after rebates. THe shipping is free over $25.00 but don't forget about tax.
akolozvary Posted November 30, 2004 Posted November 30, 2004 If you got an office related job, then you'll get a kick out of office space.
