allen6192 Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Wow, that menu sounds yummy. May have to take a road trip.
Shawn283 Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Yeah I am definitely going to make a trip to Sam's Club this weekend. The samples are my favorite part of Sam's Club. They also have some great prices too.
elena_398 Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 I've been to this and I swear you shouldn't eat anything before hand. I went last year and didn't even realize they were running it. Every aisle and then some had food samples. My kids practically ate their lunch there. LOL
Trishy Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Looks like we'll have to hit Sams club for dinner tonight. If I can get him to fill up there I won't have to make dinner. Thanks for the post!
elena_398 Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Literally. They had appetizers as well as steak and chops samples. It was amazing. If you are a member, definately go.
amyers12345 Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 I have been wanting to go for a loong time, but we didn't get a card this year, I always have my mom pick my stuff up anyways. thanks for the link!!
summerrluvv Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 I went at lunch today expecting a ton of stuff. There was hardly anything. No meat and the only dessert was brownie bites. At the food court area they had old pizza sitting on a tray for people to pick off it. Blech. Really dissapointing!

MandaJo111 Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Mine always has tons of stuff during the day. I am expecting this weekend there will be tons of stuff to sample for this event.
tiffbiles Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 I love when they do this! My husband gets so embarrassed that I want to try each and every thing, but I figure that's what it's there for. I can't wait to go tomorrow! Thanks!
ButterBee Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 We went at 4pm and there was actaully less food samples than there is on a regular Saturday. Very disappointed. I hate buying anything in bulk (especially for a party) if I can't try it first. Definitly not worth the time. Only good deal was bags of tiger shrimp (uncooked but peeled) 1.5lbs 21-25 ct size for $6.41 bag. That was good deal and was flying outta the freezer case. I bought four.
krolyat Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Hmm looks like I will be heading to SAM's club later today for lunch. And plus I really need to get some bulk stuff for my dorm. I plan to give a report on my how my local SAMs Club does with this event. Thanks for the heads up ccarson1972! :)
Shawn283 Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 My Sam's was good yesterday. We had steak, shrimp, crab cakes, ham and other things. I might go again today!
amyers12345 Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Our was awful. There were about 8 things to try, and they ran out of those. The only cool thing was that they had a wine tasting set up with the winemaker there autographing bottles. I had never seen them do that before. I don't know much about wine, and whenever I buy it, it's awful, but we were able to sample several kinds and buy a few bottles I really liked. We used a guest pass, we have had memberships before and never went. I was appalled at how the casheir and CSM looked at me when i used it. It's 40 miles away, and if I'm up there shopping, I don't have time for groceries. We only get a few things in there and someone will always pick them up for me. They acted like we were diseased because we used the guest pass. Oh well.. it was just a couple of employees, I just laughed at them when they asked if we wanted to upgrade. My business acct I held for the past 10 years must have meant nothing. (especially since I think I used it 3 times TOTAL!)
ssf Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Went to Sam's Club today with dh to pick up some stuff, we had just had lunch so we didn't really sample anything but the cheesecake (which was yummy), but they had samples galore (much more than usual).
elena_398 Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Well mine had samples EVERYWHERE. At the beginning of every aisle, in front of every freezer, etc. It was great. Everything from crab to steak to desserts. YUM
jacquero Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Hardly anything at mine when I visited on Sunday. Some organic apple pieces, pieces of bagels with cream cheese - all the other merchandiser tables were either closed or they were cooking very little at a time and waiting until the samples ran out before they started cooking or cutting up more. I guess they were supposed to stretchhhhhhhhhh out product use for the day. Oh well, I guess I shouldn't complain; it was free and I shouldn't criticize on a freebie.
