Brad Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 There is a good chance we are going to be forced to take down the BB ad very soon. We'll keep the items on your shopping list if possible, but the actual scans and list might get removed until a few days before BF...
Gurnee Al Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Interesting. Another LNT issue? Thanks for the warning!
bfdeals06 Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Saved and printed! Thanks for the heads up!
snakeswiff Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 TY for the info....I just downloaded all the ads I needed, just in case!
SuperMommy Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 I can't get the PDF format to download. Everytime I try it hangs the internet up. (Oh, the problems with AOL. It is so past time to switch.)

com Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 I actually saw the legal paper that accompanied the BB BF ad to area newspapers. It was very thorough, naming all sorts of legal ramifications if the ad got out early and the newspaper was to blame, how dept. heads weren't to allow it out of their site, no one was to take it to the bathroom, no camera phones allowed near it, etc, etc. It went on and on. My brother stuck a copy of it in the BB BF ad he gave me. Having someone in the press room comes in handy.
RossMAN Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 BB ad scans can be found here. If you have any ad blocking software such as norton internet security, disable it first otherwise you won't see the links.
mamapenguin Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Thank you so much! I would've been sad if I couldn't find the ads.:)
cpres Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 From another BF site... BestBuy has threatened to file a take down notice with our ISP under the provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) due to our posting of the BestBuy Black Friday ad. While we believe that sale prices are facts and not copyrightable, we do not want to risk having this website shut down due to a DMCA take down notice. Because of this, we have removed the BestBuy Black Friday ad from the website as requested.
bigjimslade Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 I find it funny that they have nailed the other sites and not this one. ::knock on wooden Ikea desk:: I have seen the other sites and I would say that this site is the most respectable one out there.
jediliz Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 I downloaded the ZIP file. I remember this happening last year. That's why this year I signed up with a bunch of sites to email me when there are new ads. (THis site included of course).
kaykwilts Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 I saw on another site that DMCA asked that site to remove the BB ad. If it is still here you better copy it while you can before this site is asked to remove it.

Thanks for the heads up but the site admins already put out an alert in the Best Buy section of the message boards. http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=55015 If you want to join us to talk about all things Best Buy you can join us here: http://forums.gottadeal.com/forumdisplay.php?f=38
Trishy Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Thanks Brad for the heads up on the ad- I downloaded it before they asked you to pull it.
bayhaysay Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 I have most of the ads saved. That's the first thing I do when a new one comes out.
