How many years previously have you gone Black Friday shopping?

I worked it for about 5 years But started shopping just 3 years ago...the first year I went by myself, the last 2 I've gone with my sil

 

With my retail experience and the GREAT help of GottaDeal, I've become quite the pro anymore lol

More than 35 years! We went BF shopping long before we knew it was called BF. It's a family affair. I have so many great memories of BF shopping. Organizing our lists right after TGiving dinner (while the dh's, & db's snoozed), getting up early, making hot chocolate to keep us warm, waiting for the stores to open, meeting others later in the day (for the sleepyheads who couldn't manage to get up with the rest of us). The excitement of the hunt and the thrill of the catch. 3 generations of BF shoppers (and the 4th generation gets their first experience this year).

This will be my first year, and i hope that getting to best buy by 1am will allow me to get what i want.

I've gone for the last 5 or 6 years, but I usually don't go out for the early bird specials. I might get there at the end of the early bird hours but that's it. Less people at that time!!
